  • "The troops" aren't the ones making the decisions on the mission that they're on, so it's entirely possible to support them but not their mission. I have friends in the military and obviously I want them to do their best and come home safe. That doesn't mean that I support wasting our money on helping a bunch of foreigners who don't want it! They can tear each other to shreds for all I care.

  • Cheap politics by MaCain. 4000 american troops and over 100 billion dollars a month has been spent on the iraq/afgan war since 2001. Let our troops come home and focus on the invasion from the South by illegal immigrants. Let us have the best homeland security son no more 911 can happen. A war 8000 miles away which has nothing to do with us is going to (and is already) bankrupt us. Macain is a coward for saying Dems dont support troops. Thats his only way to dismiss all the reasons of the Dems.

  • I am enlisted in the US Army and I DO BELIEVE that Democrats DO NOT SUPPORT US.

  • This is disgusting. The notion that we Democrats dont support the troops is bullshit. We dont support the war.Theres a difference. Many serving in the war dont support of beleive in it.My Uncle is a US Naval Master Chief who doesnt support the war. This is gross.Fuck McCain.

  • Given McCain's voting record of NOT supporting the troops (he has continuously voted against any legislation that supports troops with healthcare and other benefits, as well as voting against funding for Veteran Affairs, after troops return from tours in Iraq or Afghanistan), whereas Democrats have voted in favor of such legislation. So how exactly is he in support of the troops when none of the troops have any desire to be in Iraq anymore?

  • SUPPORTING THEM IS NOT FUCKING SAYING THAT YOU SUPPORT THEM, OR THAT YOU BELIEVE IN THEIR FUCKING MISSION!! SUPPORTING THEM IS PASSING LEGISLATION IN FAVOR OF THEM, NOT VOTING AGAINST IT LIKE THIS ASSHOLE IS DOING!!! John McCain can say he supports them until he looses his voice, but until he votes for a fucking law that provides them with the shit they need when they are there and when they come back, he is just another trator pretending to be a patriot.

  • My husbands in the army and he would gladly get out if he could. Who got the most support from the troops wasn't it Ron Paul. He raised a hell of a lot of money from troops. I think some think what there doing is right and want to go to iraq but I think a lot like my husband didn't understand what they were getting into.

  • im sure ur certanly right about those who didnt know what there getting into. i personally plan on joing the army or becoming a navy corpsman after college. i'm not a youth of america who has been brainwashed by military recruiters. i am aware of the risk's im taking and i have realized the fact that if i join i might have 2 go 2 iraq and i might not make it back alive.but im willing 2take that risk so that other ppl dont have 2 take that risk. but i am willing 2 and i am proud of that.

  • haha, harry rein is a little whiny bitch, i like how McCain made fun on him indirectly on the senate floor

  • Why is our country so militaristic? Dan I'm really getting tired of all this fighting. I know some guys that go fight off in Iraq and act like they are the greatest people cause they "served their country". I pay my taxes, I work hard jobs and I abide the law. Just cause because they put on a uniform when no one asked them too they act like asshloles. Some soliders are asses. They gotta go to college and get a real job.

  • A true piece of trash. He lost his plane in Vietnam. I was a platoon leader with the 101st.

All of my men were heros. That thing was not.

  • McCain supports the troops, but he also supports illegals!! Supporting illegals dropped him from the republican race.... Republicans don't wan tax dollars supporting illegals! McCain you don't stand a chance you traitor!

  • I just registered at the THISNOVEMBER5TH(DOT)COM site and am going to be a part of this big time!!! ;-)

Another way we can ESCALATE the support we're able to put forward for freedom is explained at a site I made. Please Google:

    DanHall-SupportsOurTroops

The most POWERFUL way we can support our troops is to get Ron Paul elected President!

  • Why won't Bush/Repubs support our troops? They talk a great game, but $ talks and BS walks. Why won't they fully fund the VA or TBI research - threaten to veto a lousy 3.5% raise for the troops, filibuster a bill to give our troops adequate rest between 15 month deployments? Why is Osama free while we're quagmired in Iraq? Why are our troops dying while the Iraqi Parliament is on vacation? Whose son will be the last to die for this lie?

  • also mccain has been through what these soldiers have been through go MCCAIN IN 08!!! for a man who knows what hes doing!

  • thank you McCain lets look back on John Kerry and what he said, "if your smart you end up like me if you dont go to school and are stupid you end up in iraq" WTF kerry, GO MCCAIN IN 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Did Kerry really say that? what a dirtbag!! glad he was never elected! I served in the 101st during the invasion...remember never liking him.

  • Oh wow--I just watched this after watching McCain urge troop withdrawal from Somalia and Haiti. So I guess he wasn't supporting the troops then, because he didn't "believe in their mission"??

The only difference now is, Republicans own the Iraq debacle. That's the only reason McCain now think everyone should "believe in the mission."

What a joke this man is...

  • Imus! you asshole. who supports the troops more the idiots that sent them in without a plan or the ones trying to clean up this mess. quit with the partisan rhetoric and get with the mainstream

  • Preach it! Although I disagree about the title that "Democrats do not support the troops". He's talking about those who support the Warner-Levin Resolution, etc. Those resolutions have some Republican support, mostly from Republicans who face reelection in 2008.
