First time I did Patchwerk, I was wearing headphones and happened to have my volume and bass turned up higher than normal, and wasn't really paying attention to the screen or vent as we waited for him to pat back to us (pizza rolls nom nom). Then all of a sudden, I hear, "Kel'Thuzad make Patchwerk his avatar of war!" I levitated about a foot off of my chair. I think I said something along the lines of "Jesus shit!" or something, but ever since, Patchwerk's voice has always creeped me out.

Nice Naxx 10 how tos, but this one have one fail:

Hatefull Strike Doesn't hit the second pj in the aggro table, It hits the Pj with the higgest amount of HP at that time, so if the OT has 25K HP and it's full.. and the MT has less than that, the OT will recieve hatefull strike, then, if a melee rang has more HP than every other Pj at melee rang he will recieve the Hatefull Strike.. So melee rang has to be at low HP, so they can avoid that..

just wanted you to know that I've watched your videos and they are extremely easy to follow. I learned how to tank Naxx by watching your videos. My guild has the toughest time with this boss because majority of the time we cant beat the enrage timer. alot of our guild is undergeared and wear the lvl 78 pvp sets. i wear the BS 440 tank gear and some epics from naxx. I was wondering what kind of group do you have? whos your dps and healers?

Make sure you have a pally healer on the OT ;), their crits, fast healing, and basically never running out of mana REALLY helps!

you need to duel the DK initiates that are just running around on Death's Breach... talk to them and ask them for a duel... its pretty simple. then just simply hit your forehead on the keyboard to kill because DKs are so OP. :P

God Patchwerk is easy to kill you get healed if you get hurt. And you hit like a truck. I had the whole area attacking and Patchwerk and I easily solo'd it.

just a note that wasn't mentioned it is usually BEST to have a druid or DK OT since they can get ALOT of health and soak up hateful strike the easiest...(if someone else already said this i didn't scroll down soo...)

BTW last week in naxx 25 we had 3 tanks and one of them had less HP than one of our melee dps, but the melee dps did not get hit by hateful strike but the tank with less HP did, which pretty much convinced me that he hits the people based on threat rather than HP

As long as you can move and click before the end of the GCD and have all non-GCD's and on next attacks binded then its just as fast. It doesnt matter :)

yeah, the only reason most ppl like key binds so much is because it increases your Reaction time, and your mobility as well, but mostly in pvp.

Doesnt increase your reaction time but I see what your saying, and when I do, do PvP then I keybind almost everything, I usually have it all keybinded in PvE but if im feeling lazy I just click, or its a move which I rarely use.

I'm a full time clicker and have no problems whatsoever in PvP or PvE, ive both tanked and healer 10 and 25 man raids without any problems, if i try to use keybindings im usually 3x slower than when i just click, I'm getting pretty sick of the people flaming and underestimating clickers. imo just play how you want to play and as long as you deliver a great job in either PvP or PvE nobody should have a reason to argue.

THANK YOU! i am a clicker as well and NEVER had any issues with Raids or PvP when it came to reaction time...but since i am DPS its not really saying much...if anything Keybinding is only the best for kiting where you need your mouse to turn quickly...other than that though its really no better

No the agro goes -

Main tank = Highest

Hateful Strike = Hits the person with the highest HP in mele range which isnt main tanking the boss. Its not agro, i've done this lots of times, sometimes the OT has been below several mele DPS on threat and still taken the hits. Also if this were the case then it wouldnt explain why in 25 man we had 2 tanks both top on threat, since we didnt have a 3rd we lost several mele. It IS the highest HP who isnt MT who takes it.

There "was" an older Naxx which was a level 60, 40 man raid in EPL, this got removed with WOTLK and now there is only the 10/25 man level 80 raid in Northrend.

imo shouldnt have berseker stanced that last part due to 10% more damage taken, go battle stance and you can still execute him as much as you wanted, with taking a little less dmg.

Haha yeah I know mate, I did it because we were joking on vent at the time and one of our DPS was slacking so I was just trying to out DMG him for the last 10%. Even if I died at 10% the ranged would have finished him and the healers would have kept the other tank up since we were geared enough.

MT=worst gear

'cus the OT takes the most dmg, that's why he needs the best gear. While te MT can have HC gear, and do it!!! If the Melee dps's have around the same HP as the OT drop ur feet in the green thing so you loose some HP so Patchwork don't do the enorm damage on YOU!!!

Why don't you just keep the tanks healed up, and when melee dps get close to 100% hp they go in the slime, makes it so they pretty much never have close to the tanks health which reduces the chance to get hit.

Yes the guy with the worst gear is the MT as the OT takes the most DMG, you also as the OT in this fight dont need the 2nd highest threat just HP abouve everyone else in the raid EXEPT the MT.

If you mean the one at the end which I zoom in on its called Deadly Boss Mods (DBM), tbh'd its a vital raid addon along side omen.

DBM Just tells you boss abilities and when he uses them, this gives you a rough idea of the boss and makes your life a LOT easier.

What if you only have ranged DPS? He looks like he's meele so if MT and offtank is only ones in range then it's possible to completely prevent him from 1-shoting DPS right?

Its not the 2 highest on threat, the top on threat is the MT, however he hits the person with the 2nd highest HP second like Supremus. The OT isnt based on threat its on HP. So if your OT gets hit hard and eg a rogue is on full HP he might take the hit so heal the OT FAST. And have your best geared tank as the OT as it really hurts. Good luck.

If watching this vid before fighting Patch for the first time, keep in mind Estyxium is correct about the hateful bolts.

The explanation is incorrect. Hateful strikes will hit the person with the highest current health, not necessarily the second on threat. Thus, if your hateful tank isn't appropriately healed (i.e. kept above the health of others), Patchwerk will begin one-shotting your melee dps.

All classes have there advantages/disadvantages, there is no best class. There are best specs for certain bosses etc. For this boss a druid is nice for the HoT's on the tanks, they are also nice for this isntance in general with BR, Inervate and there HoT's are always welcome.

as a resto shaman, im curious about not mentioning chain-heal which i've been told is not to be used during this fight. i see your shaman is spamming chain-heal. what's the deal with chain-heal in this fight?

I aint no expert in Shamans, but we used 2 healers, a Shaman and Pala I think, they along with most of the raid were in Naxx 25 gear. So us tanks wernt getting hit that hard, so the Pala kept us both up and we stacked for the chain heal which heals for 3-5K (I think) which is enough to heal up any exess DMG which the Pala cant keep up. As I say im not 100% sure but hey it worked and we were only using 2 healers :)

Yes, we took a well geared Shadow Priest who healed on The Four Horsemen, and bearing in mind that we all were using Frost Res gear on Sapphiron which we used for 25 man Naxx. If you are udnergeared or dont have Frost Res then you want to think about taking 3.
