Why are people assuming it's a self-tattoo machine? It doesn't say so in the title or the description. It's an "Art Machine" that uses ink to draw a design on you.

its a concept, :) there are real world barriers maybe instead of complaining you could actually perhaps try contact the producer and talk with him, or better yet actually make one yourself, i have started experimenting with using a 3d printer with a pressure sensitive head,,, :)

It's an interesting idea but the video leaves the viewer with so many questions.

1) Are you to shave the area and apply alcohol to the area your tattooing yourself?

2) How do you change the design?

3) Is it just the inside of the arm for now? Are there ways to change the set up for upper arm, leg, etc?

4) Who changes the needle to make sure it's a sterile needle each time?

-I'm certain this would be a Tattoo shop only product and not meant for vending machines you see at the Mall.

for anyone who thinks this is a needle,

here's whats wrong with this video:

1. the needle being pushed in without the skin being stretched will not give a clean outline like shown

2. the 'ink' is not black, its a very light gray compared to ink used for tattooing

3. doing that whole outline without dipping back into the ink will cause the black to turn to gray then turn to just blood

4. armature bar is not moving at all

5. theres no ink splattering

Fake!!! A needle has to go about 1,5mm into the skin, the skin has to be streched a lot other wise the outline heals bad, for tattooing properly it needs a lot of ink flow and it usualy makes a puddle of ink on the top of the skin, in order to see what hes doing the tattooist has to keep paching dry the skin with paper towel and theres nothing like that in this crappy video, that cheap tattoo machine is from china, even a experient artist wouldnt use that so easely! sorry about my bad english.

I understand thats a prototype with a pen, as a tattooist I just dont see how it would control needle depth, needle drag and skin strech, when u outline a tattoo its really hard to get the right depth with the needle, we got to get the second layer of skin DERME and u only know u got the depth right when it actualy vibrates the needle diferently from the first layer or fat tissue (third one). Remember that skin layer r diferent in thickness for diferent part of body and people.

Yeah, no. That machine doesn't in the video and can't conceivably give anybody an actual tattoo. In the video it's a ballpoint pen. If you have a clue about tattooing you know that the skin must be stretched and the depth of the needle controlled. This machine, while pretty and maybe it's art or something, has only a conceptual relation to tattoos.
