I'm going to victor valley college in California my first year at college and due to budget cuts we don't have advisors so freshman have to figure everything out mostly alone or group together and scratch each others heads but I'm happy you made this vid thanks
@BroKenGaMezHD I know it's tempting but if you dorm, try not to party too many days during the week or get distracted by girls (if you're a guy) too much. Party a bit like on weekends, but like Sunday try to get your work and stuff all done, don't get drunk during the week, don't do drugs, etc. The campus police/state police will catch you. I don't drink or do drugs, but I've seen so many ppl durin my 4 years getting arrested for stupid things like that.
@BroKenGaMezHD Another basic tip is to try to get those "General Education" courses done during your freshman and sophomore semesters (i.e. a foreign lang. requirement if you have one, gym requirement if you have one, writing classes, math, etc) and then junior and senior year try to finish off all your major courses. =D
@BroKenGaMezHD They way I see it, just know what classes you need to take and in what order, then try to schedule your classes regardless of who the prof is, study, go to class, take notes, do all the assignments, etc. You'll do fine. I've had a hardass profs who treated my section like graduate level students and gave hard ass exams. But I got used to it and it helped me. =D
@BroKenGaMezHD Things to know is that stuff like Rate My Professor is a good tool. I just glanced through. The site is good, but some profs do check that site out and some of them even asked if we checked it out...lol. I had a hot woman for a Psych prof and she asks us the first day if we saw it and if we think what was written was true..lol. =P
@BroKenGaMezHD To be honest, you should do 5 courses (i.e. 15 credits) per semester if you want to reach the 120 credit minimum to graduate. Doing 15 credits each semester means you will finish in 4 years (in most universities). The trend these days is many universities will offer online courses. But I say just stay away from that so you discipline yourself to get up in the morning and get to the lecture and actually listen, take notes, etc.
@BroKenGaMezHD If you get an on-campus job, then that just complicates things more since you need to schedule that job around whatever your class schedule is. Something you should also keep in mind.
@BroKenGaMezHD Another annoying thing is when you have classes during the day, and then you have like an hour or 2 in between so you have to either wait in the lecture hall outside your class doing hw or whatever you want, or if you dorm just head back to the dorm and chill or just grab a bite to eat.
@BroKenGaMezHD You should definitely try to strive to do morning hours just so you can get it over with. The thing that really is the challenge is deciding if you want to spread out the classes across the week (Mon ~ Fri) or cram it all into a few days. Sometimes, there are Saturday courses. My lectures were all 1 hr 15 min or 2 hr 45 like you mentioned. But those long ass ones are once a week, but sometimes a prof will just let the class leave early.
@BroKenGaMezHD Let me tell you this. I graduated college about 2 years ago and I've been in the "real world" since then. Freshman year, they put me into a "group". The idea was for me to get to know some people that are in my major (Psychology) so that if I do get into classes with them as the semesters go on, I have someone to do things like projects with.
I'm taking 4 classes which add up to 14 units total. Yeah, i used rate my professor as well. It's too bad not all the teachers have the chili pepper turned on haha, it's prob for the best though.
Also, for your next video, maybe you could talk about what your plans are after you graduate. Will you look for a full time job? Graduate school? I'm curious about what is going through your head as you think about the future.
Lucky you having fridays off. At my school, we often have 50 minute per day classes, and you go 3 days a week so it's rare to have a day off. We do have those longer classes, like you have, but with my schedule, I have mostly 50 minute classes. And it sucks especially for some of the math and physics classes because they are like 4 and 5 credit classes so you basically go for 50 minutes every day of the week and there are no other options.
how much did jew pay for tuition and room and board? did jew get any good scholarships? how are the college partys? community college vs public state university vs private collage? SAT or ACT advice? personal statements essays? are there freshmen mandatory classes? how big are your class sizes? and what's your favorite thing about being in college?
yo kenneth wats good hows farmingjail treating you? Is this your second to last semester or r you done after this? and these must be sum little kids asking what college you go to when its plastered all over the video.
@renegade8164 trust me one time a professor went on on this dude that kept calling her miss miss teacher. After that day I learned to never do what that nigga did LOL. Everything BG spoke on is the truth you learn this shit as time goes on.
@renegade8164 I have always hated addressing professors as professors. I've been in college almost 2 years now and I still feel that it would be more appropriate to call them Mr. or Mrs. instead of Professor or their first name. It's just so weird.
The colleges in America are so easy, you can even choose your own lessons. That's awesome .. Here in Switzerland we cant choose anything and we start at 7:50 in the morning, until 12:10 , then have 50 minutes lunch time and school till 15:30, sometimes even 17:10 ... And it's fucking gay .. But I'm sure I won't regret it after 10 years, cuz the shit we're doing here is quite intense and we learn a lot. I just wanna do my finals and leave that school. 2 and a half years to go :P
Pretty good video very informative some people don't know that part of the college life Lol I can tell ya I hate professors that are only there for a check. I'm taking 4 classes this semester it's gonna be tough and your taking 5 dam lol GL man.

Also consider taking an online class before your first freshman semester so you can take 4 classes to take the pressure off..

The name "Professor" still sounds funny to me, I call everyone for "teachers" because they teach.. x)
btw. Why do u use AVG Anti-Virus? It takes a lot of more system resources then Avast free anti-virus in windows 7, which isn't good for gaming.^
