  • Why are cowboys jumping if they don't know anything about jumping? Go with the mule over the jump. Lean forward, not backward. Jumps are a lot more comfortable for mule and rider if there is some momentum coming up to the jump. Doing jumps like shown in this video is a way to get the mule to not enjoy jumping. And we all know that if a mule doesn't enjoy something it's going to be to be darn near impossible to get him to do it.

  • Poor poor poor donkey

  • @cdbrag

    Erm, this is a mule...

  • ROTFLOL thats funny! Thanks for making the video luv it (:

  • So I guess the "extreme" part of hopping over a little log is pretending that you didn't just bust your taint on your saddle horn? Ha.

Western riders are so cute. Little girls taking English lessons are jumping over actual fences and you hop a western man over a log and he's grinning ear-to-ear.

I'm just joking, also. So don't get mad. Ha!

  • @CoruscantSunset lol if my horse saw a real show jump this big he'd be like "OMGOMGOMG- why r u pullin back?? um no im jumpin dis shit"

if he saw this log he'd be like "ohhh are we stoping for a cribing break? ok kool im good with this."

  • Haha wow

  • do not even try to explain mules to non mule people,,they just donot understand

  • Oooow. xD Funny! But Oooow! lol What a cute mule. :)

  • LOL I never get tired of this video! Always gives me a good giggle!

  • Nut Cracker!!!

  • Ok, that was funny!

  • Haha this is great! He's going to be jumping 6ft before you know it :P

  • hahahahhah veeery goood

  • I did the same thing on a horse I've never ridden a mule before but my grandpa just got three so I'm sure he'll put me on one soon.

  • I do hope that hurt the man!!

  • I don't know shit about mules, I'll admit that but I DO know that they can be stubborn and if that mule couldn't easily carry that guy, he would've thrown him off. Besides, aren't they pack animals? That means they're supposed to carry a lot of weight, right?

  • @CaelaCalamityHere Sounds like you know enough about mules to me....just sayin

  • What you guys call "extreme" is just everyday stuff for a real hand.

  • I think everything was fine, until I saw the mule's mouth gaping at the end. Must have put quite a bit of pressure on that bit....Maybe just be cautious to give him his head when he lands?

  • poor mule.... fat ass noob of a man, what's wrong with trotting into it? felt so bad for the poor little thing with that weight land on his back so hard and his mouth at the end...

  • The mule had an evil plan.

  • mules are stubborn im surprised it went over :P

and quit giving him crap! its not a 20 in pony!! geezus

  • Ouch!! that has got to hurt!!lol

  • that made me cringe and im a girl!! dang that must have hurt, right on the horn! XD

  • I love your Mule's pattern!

  • Where the fawk you guys livin', nevada/Utah?

  • Wasnt that funny... then he did the little munchkin hop when it went over the jump rofl

  • I was reading some of the negative comments and think people need to find their sense of humour ! ( maybe under that ol log ? ) Everyone was having a good time in this vid and that includes the mule , I still giggle at that poor rider though !

  • hahaha there's like ONE horse :)

  • hey that looks like NM :D

  • Do you really think this can make my or anyone elses day?

  • Why did I watch this? I was searching for oblivion videos.

  • ahha watching this brings back memories from the first trail ride I took my horse pepper. she could jump anything from a stand still. being a Walker/Arab Cross I was amazed we didnt fall cause I thought she couldnt jump at all. :)

  • Oooo! Ouch! *lol* Nice way to...stick it? I'm sure I would've done the same thing!

  • ahhhhahah right in the nuts

  • That did NOT make my day. Poor guy got his back slammed on.

  • put a english saddle on that thing then you wont hit your family jewels!

  • @thedobreman True, but then you wouldn't stay on either.

  • it's pretty cute and amazing, but u could tell that the mule did not wanna go, and was hesitated at first!

  • @BlancheDubois Your comment shows that you know very little about mules. It would serve you to spend some time riding with mules, they are extremely hearty and the guy riding is not a big guy to begin with...

  • @OutlawRides BlancheDubois is VERY correct. Mules, unlike horses are MORE than capable of carrying a person his size and larger.

  • poor donkey !!!!

  • hahaha ouch!!!!

  • we had a mare that used to do that to me over a creek or a ditch- lololol

  • Its not the fact that this mule jumped a log from a standstill. It's how there is a huge man on his back who lands incredibly heavily afterwards and who pulls sharply at his mouth in a bridle in which you do not need a lot of pressure on the reins at all in order for it to hurt. This poor animals back and mouth must be very painful if this is a habit!

  • @ClipClopxox Lol well I think this was a fluke thing, the guy lost his seat... then lost his balls. That's a thousand pound mule and probably a 200 pound guy... I'm sure the impact was more on that mans nut sack then it was the mule HAHAHA!

  • Ya that is awesome. But don't be doing that too often, didn't you see the huge impact the guy made on that mule's back? it looks painful to me to be getting a full male weight smacking on my back you know

  • gay. my day would have been made if that guy got ass raped.

  • @yoswim11w

then you obviously have no idea how hard it is to train a mule like that

  • k chistoso

  • @DylantjeMijnPaard ye well you know the expression; stubborn as a mule? you know why that is? Because you cant force a mule to do anything he/she doesn't want to

  • lol trust me,as a mule owner, if this mule didn't want to jump the log he wouldn't have!! lol he would have put the rider in the dirt before he ever did something he didn't want to do!

  • @TheCrazyHorseLady Thank you CrazyHorseLady,,,,,it seems that every one on youtube is an expert on horse and mule training!! The guy riding (Mike) is very well experienced in mule riding and training, he has been riding for 30+ years. It was simply one of those funny riding moments we all have had while out with friends...

  • did not make my day at all...

  • Hey DylantieMijnPaard What is hurted?? lol

  • People should really learn about an animal before they judge. Mules NEVER do anything they dont want to, the are known for there stubboness!! Mules CAN jump from standing unlike horses who need a run up. This mule was getting ready to jump cos he enjoys it. If he didnt that guy would have been on the floor NOT still on his back lol x

  • little mule is like you asked for it *hops the log*

  • send this into fail blog

  • You cant force any animal to do anything it doesnt want to. If they dont want to do it they will find a way do protest.

  • That mule wasn't forced, it was just getting itsself ready, like a cat doing the but wiggle before it jumps, if it didn't want to jump that log it would have walked around it and no amount of urging in the world would have gotten it to do any different. Nice mule dude.

  • didnt make my day

  • @ DylantjeMijnPaard

Apperantly you are not aware that it is dang near impossible to get a mule to do something it does not want to do! The mule jumped the log because it wanted to, thats what these mules are trained for. THis is not the first time>

  • HA! AWESOME! There is no way my lil pony could do that even with my scrawny butt on his back. *high five and a big bag of ice* ;-)

  • that didnt make my day.

  • lol that mustve hurt

  • Lmao

    Where was this

  • Ouch...the mouth of the poor mule!

  • Great video. I thought for sure he was going to go around...

  • THIS PEICE OF BULLSHIT ASS VIDEO DID NOT MAKE MY DAY!! IT JUST PISSES ME OFF BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT IT WAS STUPID!!(FALSE ADVERTISEMENT) AND MY MOTHER KICKED ME OUT OF THE HOUSE!(IM FUCKING 14) SHES TRYIN TO SEND ME TO MICHIGAIN!(WHERE MY FATHER LIVES) AND I NEEDED SOMETHING TO MAKE MY DAY!! AND WAT THE FUCK?!?!?! THIS JUST PISSED ME OFF MORE!

  • @cenarules2009yeah You shouldn't have gotten yourself kicked out. Besides Michigan's a fine place to live. There are some great lakes.

  • @cenarules2009yeah

She's only sending you to Michigan? Not far enough, by a long stretch. You are a very ugly person who needs a big dose of whup-arse.

  • @cenarules2009yeah Easy there Bucko

  • @cenarules2009yeah Look fuck this video... and i feel sorry for you that you must do something that you dont like so how about you watch 1 funny video and is about 1 min or something, but must watch all the way..and i belive this will make your day..search for:WRONG STEP...and look for beach picture.

  • @cenarules2009yeah Screw off. Whine about your problems to a counsellor, not on a video on the internet, lmao.

  • I thought it would be the guy falling off and was gunna say 'that's not funny' but Noooo....that's really funny :D

  • PAUSE AT SIX, That is the funniest thing i have seen

  • lol ...now only if u could get all the blm fellas to do that..i would be in heaven! lol

  • Well, as a mule owner and rider, I think you CAN be too big for a mule. But, I think you and your mule look great! LOL. Thanks for sharing that.

  • that's why people dont jump western

  • That's why you don't do jumping in western saddles.... lol

  • din mamma i en börk

  • A horse I rode did that heh heh heh :)

  • And that's why jumping in a western saddle isn't a good idea...

  • That is known as: " THE NUTCRACKER TECHNIQUE." I know, I was raised on a cattle ranch and kids must make their horses jump something.

  • haha thank u so much that did make my day!

  • This did not make my day. Fuck you, and good night.

  • I always heard mules can jump from a stand still... A great example of their athleticism!

  • Sorry to disagree with everyone....you can NOT FORCE a mule to do ANYTHING he or she does not want to do. End of story, lol

  • I love this video !!! I watch it everytime i need a good laugh lol

  • LOL You couldn't pay me to jump in a western saddle for that reason. YEOW!! hahaha

  • Im confused, you said you dont force your horses to do ANYTHING you forced it over this bloody jump!

    Make up your mind.

  • @xtwilightxhorsesx That is not a horse, it's a mule really big difference there.

  • @crazycritters007 Mule, Horse, Donkey, near the same thing. But i still dont understand why you said, 'you dont force your 'mules' to do things. Well you forced it over the log!

  • @xtwilightxhorsesx you know what, oh wait you don't. if he had forced the mule over, he'd use a damn crop/whip and spur him over, but he didn't. He gave the mule the reins and clicked a few times. That was it. The mule only backed up to get a bit of momentum.

  • @xtwilightxhorsesx You have obviously never riden a mule. When they say that you "Can't" force a mule to do anything they mean it just like it sounds. Mules are hard headed and stubborn, but don't mistake that for dumb. They know what they can and can't do. And if they don't want to do it, they wont. And you cannot convince them otherwise, once they made up their mind its made. And it wasn;t forced if you watch him/her, he/she is looking for a good spot to jump, willingly.

  • @AshleighRSexton No i have never ridden a mule. Everyone is allowed to have their own appinion, so i dont care.

  • Actually didnt make my day at all

  • That did make my day!

    Thanks for posting!

  • I don't care who you are, that was funny!

  • I thought it was great too!! Very funny. Saving it in my favs. Made my day =] lmbo

  • THAT DID NOT MAKE MY BLOOMING DAY!

IT WASTED 15 BLOOMING SECONDS ON MY BLOOMING DAY!

    THANKS A BLOOMING LOT! NOT

    Great Mule!

  • Comment removed

  • You are too big for the mule!

It is so good to jump that!

How long did you ride the poor thing for!

  • @MyLittlePinecone You can't really be "too big" for a mule. They can carry a good bit more than a horse. Please don't say things like this if you do not understand mules.

  • @MyLittlePinecone You obviously don't know what your talking about so, shut up.

  • how cute the mule had a pleased facial expression at the end 'i did it omg i did it!'

  • Pete is just fine. He is an awesome mule and has jumped this log a million times! :) He is wonderful in the rocks and rough terrain. So until you ride him or ride with him......Dont Judge. Mules jump from a stand still. They do not need a running start like horses, and he is built like a brick.

  • @ExtremeMules Slow day at work huh?

  • @ExtremeMules In all fairness, horses can jump from a standstill just as easy. Pete is a lovely mule though.

  • that was funny

  • that poor mule. the man must've hurt his back !

  • OUCH!

  • this didn't make my day but i bet his balls hurt from that jump...

  • welll this isnt made my day..LIER..

  • hahaa, WHEEEYYYY to the crule fat man!!

  • woah got some air!

what like oh say problably 8 or 9 inches outta the saddle?

and right on the horn too

  • Sorry for the pain, but I laughed till I cried!!!!! :)

  • lol what a good mule. nice landing

  • Poor mule... poor BACK of mule...

    idiots...

  • ???!!!! Nothing was funny

  • duhhh u arnt supposed to jump in a western saddle

  • Yalll are idiots!

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Little cutie!

  • western doesnt jump...........retards

  • @OblivionSs4 Actually, when people riding western encounter logs on the trail and there is no way to get around them, they are forced to jump or turn back, so it's a good idea to learn to jump western, just in case. Mules are a lot stronger than horses are too, and they are very good jumpers. It's ok to jump with a western saddle on, just not often.................retard ;)

  • The mule would not have jumped it if it was not sure it could. I own a mule and ride her at my ranch through some of the thickest land you could ever think of. Had the mule not wanted to jump it, it would not have. No amount of spurring would have made it do it. I see nothing wrong with this vid; Western saddles are fine for jumping. Mules can jump like jack rabbits and are so much stronger than horses. This animal probably leads a much better life than some barn sour round pen queen.

  • lol new sport donkey jumping

  • Its festus. Now where is matt dillon?

  • This did not make my day! the poor mule, does that guy even know how to ride? Well he/ you got what he deserved. lol

  • People, mules are not like horses, and are more capable of jumping from a standstill.

  • damn that dumb fat guy went flying up and landing on the poor animals back who the hell is this dumbass

  • @sohcsarewicked I've no idea who the bloke is, but I'm guessing a pony the same size couldn't have carried him, and mules are much stronger, lessening the impact felt, so the mule was most likely better off than him.

  • I think that since the mule got nervous, take him back around with a faster gait with more energy and he would be smoother. And with a better approach. He was very good and since you obviously ride western, you don't know two point, but don't pound his back or yank his mouth please!!!

  • hahaha he hit his nuts hehehe not laughing at the mule he was fine but they shouldn't jump in western saddle over something that high without speed

  • @Lordsangels03 I don't think mules will jump things running at a gallop like a horse will. I could be wrong, but most all videos of mules jumping, they jump when right at the object, not running up to it.

  • @Timothy2035 they haave to gain speed the sopping comes fro the donkey horses and donkeys can't jump without stoping or slowing speed

  • haha that was funny

  • i think that was a bit harsh the man should of gav him a little run up not just stood him there and exspected him to jump on the spot i know there not horses but served the man right for geting hurt.

  • @07bstatham That's how mules jump. You should see some of the shows mules are entered in. The jumping they can do from a stand still is pretty amazing.

  • @03firefly oh ok soz i dnt no as much about mules than horses

  • LOL! man that had to of been uncomfortable, especially down south there. lol.

  • that had to hurt. landed on the horn with his special tool. ouch!!!

  • I don't really see how people are saying it's "cruel".

  • Guarenteed to make my day eh?

Well I can guarentee that its pissed me off!!

Thats disgusting, you have no right to ride a horse, mule whatever!!

  • @no1horselover

woop woop!!!! :) couldnt agree more

  • @leeleeebabesxxx thanks, its good to know there is someone

else out there thats smart enough to see the cruelty in this

    disgusting video.

  • @no1horselover cruelty??? go watch a rodeo video or a bullfighting video, thats cruelty for ya. this mule is living great, adventurous life, he has a better life than some PEOPLE, in countries like africa. dont you worry your stupid lil head about the mule

  • thats cruel! u can tell that poor mule doesnt want to jump it but he was forced to! it looks good to people but doesnt fel good to the mule would you like it if you had a metal bar through your mouth and a heavy person and saddle on your back kicking your ribs to make you jump over a tree! no? didnt think so!

  • @leeleeebabesxxx your a fucking retard. what good would horses or mules be if people didnt ride them. that mule wwas just scared cuz he didnt think he could do it, but with the help of his rider he overcame his fears and now he is very proud of him self. i bet you didnt look at it that way.

  • @leeleeebabesxxx wow settle, im not tryin to be mean, but to some animals its not lik that, most of the horseand mules i ride are willing to please its in there nature, im not saying your point isnt right or anythin, im just letting you see my side of it. thank you for ya time.

  • @bingsag

yerr i get your point... atleast you are sensible about it :@ and the horses and mules i ride abseloutely hate this sort of thing!!! n ye all horse breeds are willing to please- but people dont say that when the horses and mulesare willing to please humans at the slaughter house where they do as they're told so they can die so i sont see why making this anilmal do something it didnt want to do any different ................. ya see MY point?

  • Hahaha! "Hup!"

  • I've seen this at least 10 times today, I'm laughing on the floor each time. =D

  • That was actually funny.

  • you are way to fat to be riding a small animal like that. disgusting

  • @thubtenwangmo Considering mules are used for log pulling, among many other heavy weight uses, I think the "fat man" isn't doing any damage to the mule. People forget, these animals weigh over 1200lbs. A few hundred pound man is easy for these animals. Mules are one of the most surefooted animals too. They are the cats of the horse world. If the mule felt the jump would hurt HIM, he wouldn't have done it.Mules think for themselves, and take longer to bond with because of their independent streak

  • Hahaha!! But I believe this is the reason why you need impulsion to jump. ;)

  • Very funny video....lol, though that landing muct have really hurt!!! I have jumped my own horse from a standstill and the landing is not always the best...

  • lol the mule that wanted to be a stallion

  • Lol that TOTALLY reminds us of this guy at the barn I ride at when he jumps he lands on the horn just like this unlucky dude! LOL try doing a half seat next time! Maybe you won't find yourself on the horses butt!

  • yikes -- hope you weren't planning on having children in the near future lol

  • He had to stand in his saddle! Yes, it does indeed hurt...

The mule had to take a lead. It is very difficult for him to jump from standing.

  • ouch, that hurts

  • okay this annoys me when people say how " cruel" it is for them to do that to that mule. i have mules myself, and they are known for carrying up to 1/3rd of their body weight. they arent like horses, they are SO much stronger, so that rider probably wasnt that much of a burden. mules are extreme athletes, so this wasnt cruel. i feel worse for the guy than the mule

  • Apart from an oversized rider, what is also cruel is the way he/she tears its sensible mouth after the jump. Clearly not an experienced rider. Poor animal.

  • Ok. This isn't cruel. Ever seen mule jumping? They do it from a stand still. Mules & donkeys are KNOWN for their jumping abilities.

  • @shepherd406 Oh, are they also known for having a full-grown man slam down on their backs while jumping? I wasn't aware that was part of their reputation of jumping! Seriously, do you really think that has no effect on their spine?

  • he probably bruised his privates landing on the saddle horn like that! doubt he'll do it again for that reason!

  • Stupid redneck. How is that a stunt? Thats only abusing the pore donkey.

  • didnt make my day...didnt make me laugh...dint make me smile :|

  • LOL what a good mule! I cant believe that poor guy didnt keel right over out of the saddle with that! Jumping a log that size is easier on your body if you have some momentum going before you try it. Energy goes over it instead of straight up! lol Good times

  • this is why i love mules, donkeys, and hinnies

  • Excuse me, but if you haven't noticed many horses will do these things on their own. And we have been breeding horses for many yearsso they are suited for us now. And if you are against it, why are you watching these videos? Seems to me like you're the ignorant one.

  • Why do people think 'extreme' is good? I doubt if that jump was very good on that poor critter's front legs. They weren't made to carry humans and their equipment on the flat, much less over a jump. But we humans just have to make them do it for our own 'pleasure'. It's all about the ego of the humans. Sad.

  • OMFG get a life. do you even own horses? if not then shut up

  • @enapay25

I have many years experience with horses and their injuries. I've seen them suffer due to human ego and pride.

Your rude language simply shows how immature and ignorant you are, otherwise you would have provided a well thought out reply supported with facts.

I am entitled to comment as freely as you are. You might refer to the Constitution of the United States on that point.

  • no it wasn't thought out as I saw the statement after 11 last night. Why do you even mention the consitution? lol. yes I know about that

I do a lot of Craig Cameron's Extreme Cowboy Races, does that make me a bad person then? This is a sport that is taking off and is so much fun! my little mare does everything without hesitation and loves it. She's a little mountian goat. lol
