But yesterday I saw the official Sonisphere Facebook, and there is a Gerard Way pic tagged as "faggot". I can't post the link here. But the tags are not free, so I'm afraid that the promoter did that. What I saw on facebook makes me think that they really had an argument or something before going on stage.

I was there, but I really didn't heard so many insultes, and I didn't see any bottle.

I mean Download festival and Reading were worst that this one. My idea is that maybe something on the backstage happened, maybe the promoter told 'em to cut-off the set list, and they got nervous, and then the crowd was boring/offensive, and Gerard got angry. Some girls who met Frank asked him about the set list and he told 'em that they played their time

@cagliostro929 I got nervous when they started talking among themselves and I knew something was wrong. I think that was when the "Linkin Park" chorus started. That's the only thing I heard and I didn't see the bottle. From that moment to me it seemed that they played their bigger hits trying to save whatever possible and I think the crowd responded.

If they had to cut the setlist from the start wouldn't they have played at least SING?

What else should Frank have said, admit defeat? Hmmm?

@69Papavero SING is not that famous in Italy. And on TV and radio I've never heard almost anything about this last album. In Italy hey where most famous during TBP. So they played more songs from that album.

Even during SUM 41 I heard people shouting "LP", but they didn't care. So I really can't understand why MCR were so nervous. LP were supposed to play more songs, but even them played less. So I think that maybe the promoter had to finish the festival before.

@cagliostro929 That's true, they all played shorter sets, even Sum 41. Well, let's hope then that they had to finish. On the other hand that's cheating (from the organizer's side) on us who paid to see Sum41 and MCR play 1h and LP 1h40.

Regarding SING, I don't listen to any radio but Virgin Radio and they played SING over and over and still do. And I think I saw both Na NA NA and SING videos on TV.

Oh, they shouted LP while Sum 41 played?! I thought they just were against MCR, I'm relieved.:)

@69Papavero I'm talking about italian radio and TV, like MTV and popular radios. But I don't listen/watch radio/TV that much, so it's only my impression. The organizer cheated from the beginning, they deleted 6 bands 3 days before the festival, and they deleted the second stage. I think that's why others bands played less time, but it's weird that LP played 40 minutes less because they where supposed to play until 23:40.

Yes, they shouted only once at SUM 41. But they did.

@cagliostro929 Well, as I said, they played it a lot on Virgin Radio and I'm sure I've seen the videos on MTV and Deejay Tv, but TBP was more popular for sure.

Yes, it's been a whole mess! Well, we cannot do anything now (as we couldn't on Sunday), but I wonder if I ever go to Sonisphere Italy again or any other festival for that matter. Heinecken is dangerous.

I was there. And I saw something weird on their faces from the beginning . They looked kind of nervous, expecially Gerard and Mikey. LP fans shouted something, but mostly in Italian, and they were creepy. But if you look at the crowd, many of them aren't paying any attention to the stage, they look really bored. Maybe Gerard get nervous mostly for the boring crowd, not only for the insults. But I don't know, 'cause in the Helena vid he does a gesture that could mean "I don't care"....

I am Italian, and I was there, and I was sorry to see what has happened!

I only went there to see My Chem, and when they came after Linkin Park, I started to insult not only to command their respect.

And I think that even that person who is made to launch the bottle should have respect for the comparisons of those who paid 100 euros to see them!

I hope to come back soon for a real concert, not a festival, because we know that these things happen at festivals. Sorry for my English

MCR were lately at OWF in Poland. THAT'S HOW AUDIENCE SHOULD BEHAVE. I'm sure there were lots of people who didn't like/know MCR but even those who normally don't listen to them, said their performance was "okay"-they just stood or waited for other bands (maybe even had a little fun:D) People DRANK water from the bottles (cuz it was that hot and they were having that much fun) and not threw them on the stage, because they had better things to do. And water is not cheap on festivals-.-

@UnbekannteRoyalGroup I absolutely agree with you, but maybe people on here get a wrong impression. I don't want to defend anybody, because I was really pissed and still am. Anyway, I didn't see any bottles flying, but some people definately confirm ONE bottle. From were I was standing I only heard one chorus shouting for Linkin Park, but apparently a member of LP has been seen backstage or on a balcony. There must have been more though, because the band seemed already nervous at that point.

If I don't like Marylin Manson, I simply ignore him and don't go to his concert and shout "you stupid retard" or sth, I prefer to go to my fav band concert and shout I love them :D love instead of hate, people xD <3

But I've heard rumours that SOMETHING happened and that's why I wanted to share my opinion, cuz MCR is such a great band that they simpy don't deserve to be treaten that way (and it's not the first time :/), after all they've been through and all the good things they've done...

@UnbekannteRoyalGroup ...Then after some discussing among themselves they started Welcome to the black parade which imo got a good response from the audience, as well as Teenagers, Helena and I'm not okay which followed. It almost seemed to me that some of the audience wanted to make up for what had happened before. With that unfortunately they concluded their set and went away without greetings. So I think they cut off some newer songs. Hell, they didn't even play SING!

I paid a lot of money to for this festival. I'm a fan of MCR and LP and wanted to enjoy both, but because of disrespectful Linkin Park fans MCR cut their set. Thanks a lot! An what for? Not that LP started any earlier or played a longer set.

Not to mention that I'm sorry for the band of course.
