the reason why you think your arms are shrinking is because just like you said " i work them out 5 times a week" you are overworking out your biceps. your causing your muscles to overload and it cant repair itself intime therefore your arms will not get bigger because your not giving it enough time to heal.
@vudu988 i kinda agree to you and i follow the week 1 of getwow website.
in mens health magazine they said that just workout every other day in order for the muscles to rest and heal. if not, you can get injured in the long term process. in the healing process, that is where your muscles becomes stronger
I am weightlifting and generally training for more than a year but the last 2 months i think that my biceps got a little smaller. I don't know if thats just my imagination or somethin but i think that they got a little smaller. Is that possible? I am training them 5 times a week and i havent reduced any weight or reps. (Instead of that i was increasing both of them during the year. I am 16 and i am lifting 20 kg per hand). Any suggestions?
if u work out the muscle in ur arms or any other parts of ur body, u got to give time 4 it to heal. i fell into the same trap when i was ur age, i didn't noe over training will reduce size of ur muscles. now 4 the past yr nd abit. i work out every body part once a week nd i can see results now. 5 times times a week is certainly overtraining it
its just the way your joints are.not a big issue, though it is uncomfortable trust me i have the problem with my shoulders/delts. i usually stretch the area and im good to go.
i have to disagree with diataryfiber. In fact I am against that whole exercise. This is not a good position for the shoulder, and especially when adding weights to it, it is very very easy to get injured.
There are other tricep exercises that are a lot better and a lot safer... e.g. narrow push ups, make sure your elbows are tight to your body at all times. and do them slowly
i have to agree haha i don't even like this exercise myself, i was just on the point about the joints.since i have the same problem doing my deltoid flys
Agree, this is a "poormans" workout, and if not done correctly you can cause alot of damage, especially to your rotary cuff. Skullcrushers are a much better exercise as well, but always have a spotter.
doing one is okay. doing two takes more time but requires more work from each arm (stabilization etc.) so you would get a better result by doing each tri individually.
how much should the weight be?? as my arms are a bit flabby, and i have recently started realizing the need of excercie in my life and i HAVE to squeeze some workout time in my bz life.But i wanna do the bes and most effective ones . awaiting reply. thnx
to be honest no one can tell you what weight is best for you. you need to start with light weight and continue to increase that weight until you find a comfortable weight that isnt easy to do, but isn't impossible to do with good form. The best would be the weight that allows you to do 10-15 repititions with the last 4 or 5 reps being difficult to do , or 'burn' to do.
@niggernube have you tried to concentrate on doing an exercise correctly while explaining something? It's hard. Awkward pauses, hello. And he's probably camera shy! He's perfectly normal >:l
Jimbo is right, but there are different methods of weightlifting. In general, a person is not suppose to "pause" (lock-out) during movement. F@!#$@g noobs. Slit your throats.
yes every time i do these my sholder pops out of place

How can I exercise the tricep muscles without using any weights? Like when you want to exercise the bicep muscles, you can do push-ups.
iSpeakKonglish 1 year ago
@iSpeakKonglish You do dips.

@Brooklynmario Ahh thanks so much.

@iSpeakKonglish doing pushups can also workout your triceps, chest biceps, forearms. etc, it's an all around upper body workout

if you want a real good pump and muscle growth for the Triceps Try this :
Lying triceps extension behind the head
Dips to failure
it works really well for me

FlawlessFacial 2 years ago 4
Is it better to do a single arm extension, rather than doing both arms using one dumbbell? I used to do both arms. Never worked for me.
Now I'm trying kickbacks and I can see results clearly. Seriously recommend it when it comes to triceps!

if any exercise hurts, you're either doing it wrong, or you've got too much weight going on.
