La Raza doesn't represent hispanics, they are a bunch of punks who are looking to use any excuse to perpetuate ineptitude.
These Kids need to learn that there are no tenures at High Schools, in the real world, workers need to perform and justify earning a salary, and that's not the case with this teacher.
By the way, the should fire all the teacher who belong to La Communist.. I mean La Raza (a.k.a. cholos marijuanos, drogos).

That book saved my life... i was a high school drop out... since i read that book i went back to school and earned 4 college degrees, including a masters and a law degree... they know the power so they will do everything they can to dis-empower us.

The Autobiography of Malcolm X is approved from the district. This teacher was targeted...it is pretty obvious. Also she didn't have tenure and would have received it in September...

I live in Maryland. I once taught Malcolm X in the classroom back in 2001. I taught from a video of one of his speeches. It led to a really good class discussion and the students were engaged. Honestly, I thought that there would be trouble in teaching it, but I never heard from administrators. I'm in agreement with Ms. Salazar. I feel that effective and interesting teaching draws from every aspect of life. It really does inspire critical thinking. Great coverage.
