Currently I prefer the Halo as it helps me spot and target far off guys in Metro tunnels or Grand Bazaar Alley for example but I'm thinking I should revisit the Cobra after this.

Personally i think the kobra sight is shit. Makes most guns I've used a kobra sight with, somewhat inaccurate as hell for me lul. personal preference, holographic for me.

Yeah but Kobra is an RDS and Holo is a holo:D Not the same thing. But I prefer Kobra more. It looks much uglier on a weapon but it's more useful.

on the consell platform(xobx), how does this information you just showed us affect us? And even if the kobra sight gives you an advantage, i think it all boils down to preference. I personally hate the the dot within a circle in the holo sight.

I personally only use the Red Dot Sights and Kobra sights when I don't like using the iron sights on the weapon I'm using. Or if I feel that it's more beneficial to use a higher magnification to take full advantage of my weapons range.

So the difference then is Reflex/RDS compared to Cobra is only the reticle and the fact the reflex dot blocks your view making it harder to judge headshots? thats what i was thinking when choosing between the two i dont really see any advantage in using the higher magnification scopes on anything but sniper rifles and maybe the 3.4x on a LMG if using a bipod.

Reflex and Kobra are basically the same so it doesn't make any difference which one I use, that right?

I like the holographic better because of the smaller dot. Kobra jumps around too much during shooting and the thick lines covers the enemy further away.

what sight to you recommend for LMG's? I use the holographic sight because of the bullet spread. The RDS is too accurate and unrealistic to be successful with an LMG. You recommend Kobra as a nice middleground?

@jmxbox id say it depends on how you play LMG. If you're using it w/ foregrip and attacking, probably use kobra. If you want to bipod and suppress, id say holo. just my thoughts

The holosight also adds a little bit more vertical recoil. Kobra/normal rds/iron sight seem the same.

@shinsource - its probably just the appearance of more recoil since its magnified, tho i dont really notice any more recoil and i use them all depending on whats unlocked. havent done too much comparing on the same weapon though.

Hey mate, you lose that sides of screen always, with kobra and with holo. :)

Zoom is 1.5x always with all normal scopes, and 4x acog and others bigger. So its personal and how players use to it.

I find that the US RDS is the best due to the fact that it's just a small dot, unlike the holo sight with blocks a tonne of stuff in the middle.

@TheBosnianCroat - thats what i thought at first but you get used to it and its not really a factor with the magnification. i like the red dot as well but there are times that it can kind of get lost in the background. i find the holo great for lining up multiple headshots but i do better with whatever im more used to at the moment

See though I use holo on my scar simply because I tend to go to single shot at long ranges to take out snipers or other such long ranged engagements. Though I do love my support class though what is more effective bipod or grip

@LudicrousAndroid What type of Radeon? I think anything over the 4000 series should be fine. You only need about 4GB RAM. And the game is fun, but it has a steep learning curve. Also it is much easier with a friend on your side.

I have a question. I play on BF3 ps3, but I also have want to get BF3 for my computer. I know my specs are shit for legit PC gaming, but I checked and I meet the minimum requirements for BF3 (Like on the dot. Except for the processor where I'm a bit above minimum). I looked at many comparisons between Bf3 ultra and low settings, and there is hardly any difference. Should I get it for PC?

i still think it depends on weapon and map. assault/engineer + metro/basar/seine - kobra, but on bigger maps and in certain situations you benefit from zoom.

Wow, I never noticed the zooming in holo. I guess that's why I don't like it. Critical point here (other than speed) is that the Kobra doesn't 'crop' your screen when you go into scope view. The white bars help to get the idea across, but based on comments here I think some folks are missing that point. I'm assuming RDS is also 1x / not cropping the screen. In your opinion, is it parallel in quality to kobra? (I feel better with a dot than a cross, which I think varies per player...)

Hm you should have compared the cobra to the red dot.

I think the cobra is the best not just because it gives a good FOV but it is the slimmest scopes of all so you dont hide as much around your target, which why I prefer the cobra over the red dot and which makes the 4x scopes so bad because not just your FOV decreased but 30% of the FOV is blocked by the scope border!

I might actually use the holo more now that I know it zooms.

It's not about peripheral vision. It's about balancing speed, FoV, and zoom in order to get a result that's accurate and versatile.

@skatedudeact A) Becuase, like rivaLxfactor said up top in the Uploader Comments, the red dot has the "exact same actions as kobra just a dot", therefore there is no difference between the 2 so it wouldn't matter which he picked, and B) like he said in the video - he personally prefers the cobra sight.

I've been using the holo for my semi-aggressive play style, but I never took the time to compare the movement with different scopes I just fell in love with the visibility of the holo. Time to retest the kobra and reflex it seems!

Though for short-medium range the holo might still yield more accuracy? For absolute speed the kobra of course seems like the winner

See, maybe its just me, but I think the American red dot has a thicker frame, and it just feels clunkier to use. The Kobra feels cleaner to me compared to it.
