  • First Dude's my favorite.

  • First dude had a hard time with the turns at this track. Ramon had to pull him toward the rail quite a bit, but he loved the track, and when he straightened into the stretch he seemed to come back a little more. I don't think he's a big fan of turns period though. He always seems to come back when they straighten away.

  • @kivah10 He had to go back to Mexico for several weeks while getting his work visa extended, but he's back now. Look for him to be riding The Factor for Baffert, possibly this weekend in the San Vicente.

  • @Kellie3315 yea they, (the factor and martin) just had an amazing wire to wire performance in the Rebel.

  • And here's first DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD....

  • does anyone know what happened to martin garcia? why he is not ridding anymore?

  • I think caracortado would have run a lot better if he hadn't been rushed to the lead at the three eights pole, I think he looked good until that last sixteenth, he started to tire. I think he's got a nice future.

  • Lucky fired a bullet work at Hollywood Park on October 25th in preparation for this year's Breeders Cup Classic. The official clocker caught Lucky at 1:10:80 for seven furlongs on Hollywood Park's cushion track. The fastest of 11 timed works. He then galloped out seven furlongs at the end of the work in 1:24:80. Baffert, understandably, was very pleased with the work. I think Lucky's the one. If Zenyatta is gonna repeat as B.C. Classic champ? Lucky's the one she'll have to beat to do it. IMO.

  • I don't care if you've followed racing since you were 5. Every year an idiot says "worst crop of etc" So annoying and old.

  • @roseonramble true people say it every year but this is without a doubt the worst crop of 3 year olds ever.

  • @roseonramble, I think you're absolutely correct with that comment. Every year someone says "worse crop they can remember," LOL, and every year, basically the same thing happens in 3yr.old crops. Eventually, as the year progresses, there's always 2 or 3 horses that go on and distinguish themselves from the rest of the 3yr.old field. In 2010, it's been Lookin At Lucky and Paddy O' Prado. No different than any other year. Just like in 78', it was Affirmed and Allydar.

  • After wins in the Preakness and now the Haskell Invitational. Lookin At Lucky is the only 3yr.old that's remotely talented enough to go forward to the Breeders Cup Classic in November. He's definitely the class of the 3yr.old field. But even Lucky's chances of winning the Classic are pretty slim. With the likes of Zenyatta, Quality Road, and Blame headed there as well. Also, there could potentially be a good European horse or two in the Classic as well. But Lucky should run in it, and represent.

  • @GBeret83 hm what about paddy O'Prado?

  • Oh I just love this horse too bits, he has so much heart, this race gives me goose bumps everytime I watch it.

  • @ZenyattaLuver I saw him at Churchill after his trip in the Derby while he was getting a bath, he is a GORGEOUS horse in person!

  • @AccentAigu05 Aw, I bet he is.

  • I love this race but dont u think Garcia whipped Lucky just a little too much during the stretch? 1:52-2:07

  • Is it just me or is Tom Durkin the greatest announcer of all time??? If you can find his 2007 Preakness Curlin video, it is one of the greatest endings in Triple Crown history I have ever seen. "TOO CLOSE TO CALL!!! TOO CLOSE TO CALL!!!!!". The guy is amazing. I am a heterosexual male, but I think I love TD.

I love his dramatic ending call of this race ... "The Triple Crown remains vacant for a 33rd straight year"...

  • @TomDurkinsBiggestFan bro he is quite good, i always recommend

    1. 1989 breeders cup classic (race of the decade)

    2. 2005 jockey club gold cup

    3. 2004 bemont stakes

if you wana enjoy the best of the best.

  • You Yank don't have a clue abot racing, Uk has classics as old as your country. Also its pronounced 'darby' not 'durby', stop butchering our language. That shit surface you race on is gash, get yourselves over to Royal Ascot, York Ebor to see the best flat racing and the best jockeys in the world. Then try Cheltenham and Aintree festivals for real racing, jump racing. UK jump racing is the best racing in the world, your shitty spetic flat AW, shortraces are shit.

  • @danf8686 Now I know why we booted your butts out of here during the revolutionary war!!! LOL SMILE!!!!

  • @danf8686 Well fuck you, dickhead.

  • @danf8686 somebody sounds a little *cough cough* jealous :) anyways, IF YOU DON'T LIKE AMERICAN RACING, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU WATCHING THIS YOU GOD DAMNED IDIOT!!! And yes, in AMERICA (red white and blue, home of the FREE) it IS pronounced dErby, it was decided a LOOOOOOONG time ago you dingbat. So shut the fuck up and stick to your favorite kind of racing, and LEAVE THESE VIDEOS AND THEIR FANS ALONE!!! Oh, and have a nice day :)

  • Lookin at Lucky vs. Zenyatta in the Breeders' Cup Classic. The reigning two year old champion and Preakness winner vs. Zenyatta the Great will be awesome. Better then Rachel vs. Zenyatta! I can't wait! Imagine Lucky taking the lead down the stretch while Zenyatta is making her classic, patented, from last to first move! Will she catch him!!!??? That's what it's all about!!!!!!!

  • 32 YEARS AND THRE'S STILL NO TRIPLE CROWN WINNER

  • I guess no triple crown winner this year --' OMG I can't remember the last time a horse won the triple crown, must've been years ago!

  • go martin garcia

  • Can't wait for the Belmont Stakes - looks like an interesting field, especially since niether Super Saver nor Lookin' at Lucky are in the race.

  • Do people really think Bob Baffert would really put a jockey up on one of his horses in one of the most prestigious races in the World if he wasnt a legal U.S. citizen?!

  • first dude ran a GREAT RACE!... what an effort...does anyone know how tall he is? he looks enormous...reminds me of rock hard ten...

go lucky, glad you could finally shine.

  • Looking at lucky.... would not have been a TC winner, the real horse that had the best shot was Eskendereya. Do the research for yourself, look at his wins and his times. He was a grade one winner already by like 8 lengths i think, something like that in one of hes races up to the Kentucky Derby. He could have done it or had the best shot of all this year. As for Belmont, Ice Box is going to eat them alive in the stretch, hes a real closer from way back, watch K Derby again.

  • @Senerian

It may be true about Eskendereya, but there's no use in thinking over what might have been. He's retired now. Injuries happen, and there's not much we can do about them.

There's a story like this almost every year. Think about if Quality Road hadn't gotten injured last year. Look at what a monster he is, now that's he's in shape and hasn't had a long layoff nursing an injury. Ah, what could have been...but it doesn't matter now. D: LaL had the best chance of horses that staid healthy.

  • Martin Garcia is one of the best jockeys that came out of Northern California in a long while---since Russell Baze. Joel Rosario did not even accomplished what M. Garcia did in Northern Cal. (although Rosario could have had he stayed longer).

Lookin at Lucky is simply the best of the lot--that day-- at Preakness. And M. Garcia is bound to set a record of his own--3 different horses mounted in 2010 TC races. ---at 7:35 who says Baffert doesn't get excited!!!

  • @CrispinFlora hey,by any chance,do you know what happened to Martin Garcia? why he is not ridding any more?

  • Lookin At Lucky just refused to lose

  • Just shows that it is tough to be a consistent top finisher in the three Triple Crown races. The best three year old horse to come out in a long time is still Mine That Bird. He won the Kentucky Derby last year, and finished a narrow 2nd and 3rdin the Preakness and Belmont. Also finished a close 3rd in the WVirginia Derby. The horse was tired by the time of the BClassic and finished ninth. Look for great things from MTB starting mid-summer as he makes a push for the BClassic later this year.

  • Where are Bafferts other kids? They always have to show Bodine

  • Im happy for Garcia by far my favorite rider in racing! Great person all around! He's worked for every bit of success as a Jockey. He's come a long way.

  • Now THAT was a horse race! Pity that Lookin at Lucky didn't win in the Derby, so he'd have had a shot at the TC. Super Saver and Calvin Borel just are that great in my book. That's my story, and I'm a stickin too it. Oh well, there's always next year for the TC.

  • This race serves to prove my point, exactly, about the outcome of the Kentucky Derby would've been DRAMATICALLY different had it not be ran on a sloppy, off track. If Churchill Downs had been as dry as Pimlico was today, no way Super Saver ever win's the Kentucky Derby. A shame too. Because LAL is the one 3yr.old that's talented enough that he could've potentially have been a Triple Crown winner. IMO.

  • @GBeret83 Well, I wouldn't say it was the sloppy track so much as the fact that is was The Kentucky Derby with a 20-horse field which caused Lookin at Lucky's loss. After all, Super Saver did win The Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes on a dry track at Churchill last year. And, I'm surprised no one really commented on the trouble that Dublin had in this race and his courageous effort to finish fifth just beaten 5 lengths. He's my pick to win the Belmont.

  • with the exception of all the different "back of the pack"s after the first 1/2 mile, even I'll have to say Durkin did a pretty good job with this call.

  • Smart Strike is turning out to be a pretty good sire. He sired Curlin a few years ago and here's another one of his offspring winning a classic!

  • Who hyped Super Saver? As far as I know Calvin did saying they would win the TC. Hyped is a childish word anyway.

  • two words SUPER SAVER two more CALVIN BURELL

  • Fantastic...I'm so happy he finally got to win a big one! He will have a very tough rival in Ice Box in the Belmont

  • I think Jackson Bend should have gotten at least second. He had a pretty decent trip from the get go until the three eighths pole, when the four horses lined up he lost some ground and went from 3rd to fifth then in the stretch fought on very boldly. I really liked Lookin At Lucky though. I don't think any of the top three finishers should go to the Belmont. I wouldn't bring them. But I can see Nick Zito wanting to bring Jackson Bend to Monmouth for the Haskell. I think that would be a good race

  • Lookin At Lucky may have won, but the best horse in this race was First Dude

  • @dahoss65 Not at all, he set a good pace but Lookin At Lucky when 4 wide around the final turn and First Dude didn't lose any ground. Lookin At Lucky was clearly the best.

  • @dahoss65 what happened then o thats right he lost came in 2nd and lost a good horse

  • I was hoping for a Lookin at Lucky- Jackson Bend exacta, but first and third is ok too :) Jackson Bend ran on really well once he found room. If he'd gotten out earlier it would have been tight between him and Lucky.

  • I think its safe to say the whole time Garrot Gomez was the unlucky one the whole time, Dublin's ride in the begining showed it, but great job to Lucky!

  • as much as I wanted to see a triple crown, I knew Lookin at Lucky would win big one of these times :)

  • Oh. my. god. Love this horse so much!

Show how hyped Super Saver was.

  • I never lost faith in this horse, well done 'Lucky!!

  • I was happy that Lookin at lucky won ,but after watching this I lost hope. I doubt there will ever be a Triple Crown winner. Sir Barton,Gallant Fox,Omaha,War Admiral,Whirlaway,Coun Fleet,Assault,Citation,Secretariat,Seattle Slew,& Affirmed thank you,RIP,and great job.

  • @latinostallion94 There will be a triple crown winner, just a matter of time.

  • @latinostallion94

Oh there will be one. Heck, if Eskendereya hadn't gotten hurt we would have had one this year quite possibly. But Super Saver was not Triple Crown material. His derby win was one of the slowest ever. I hope the next Triple Crown horse is a GREAT one.

  • Lookin at lucky made santa anita proud.

  • I wonder if that Garcia even has the proper documentation to be working in the U.S.? Just a thought! But great race anyways!!!

  • @gunloc26

Dude you are a jackass. Seriously.

  • @gunloc26 with the kind of money thrown around with these races, don't you think that would've been a priority for team "Lookin At Lucky?" you know these people would've expedited his visa! now stop assuming that all hispanics are illegal!!!

  • @gunloc26 You wonder if Garcia has papers??? Are you serious? I think for every great guy like Garcia who may or not be here legally a piece of crap like you outta be deported to a shit country to live out the rest of your miserable days...I'll take a hard working illegal versus a piece of crap like you any day of the week!

  • @mrr1980 listen here numbnut, I was being sarcastic when I posted my remarks...but I do believe it's safe to assume a lot of the folks working at the tracks, including some jockeys, are illegal ALIENS. And they are breaking our immigration law just the same as if they were here from Eastern Europe. Their asses have NO RIGHT to be here over the LEGAL immigrants that do it the honest and right way!!!

  • @mrr1980 "I'll take a hard working illegal versus a piece of crap like you any day of the week!"...I bet you would! You would like to expose them for cheap/slave labor so you can put the profit in your pocket. And in the mean time you know the honest, hardworking LEGAL American taxpayer's of this nation will absorb the burden that the illegals have on our communities, such as healthcare, education, and law enforcement costs. YOU are the one that needs to shipped off!!! Freaking traitor!!!
