All these fucking Macbook reviews are so out of date. The new Macbooks come with more memory standard and bigger hdd. The base Macbook has a 2.1 processor, 1 gig of ram, and 120 gig hdd. The one i'm getting is the mid model that has 2.4 processor, upgrading to 4 gigs of ram, and 250 gig hdd. This model is the best you can get out of macbook. And if you've gota friend in college they can get you a nice discount.

Seeing as it's illegal for you to be legally employed, do odd jobs around your neighborhood (if it's safe.) Sounds cheesey, but sell stuff like lemonade or kool-aid. Mow lawns, shovel snow, things like that. It won't buy you a Macbook (unless you do it for years), but you'll show your parents you're dedicated.

the sound and the image is not lagging. I know what u mean; when i use isight in imovie 08, it lags alot while you capturing it but when you import it and play it, it's normal; plays perfect. About space, i hope u didnt install printer drivers. But anyways, just upgrade RAM; probably be fine then. Good review; unbiased and relaxing.

postbreak, with that slow down on the boot up sequence, I'd check to see if my hard drive isn't wearing out or dying gradually. Hard drives slow over time and with yours, it could be the reason for the extended boot time compared to when you first bought it.

Man, Macs aren't used for gaming? Well, I sure have been playing everything from Pac-Man to Neverwinter Nights to World of Warcraft... Yeah, Macs play games just as good as the PC. They run Vista better than the PC does. All you need is Bootcamp, and Macs run games fine.

For example on Windows:

Ctrl+A is select all

Ctrl+C is copy

Ctrl+V is paste...

How do you do those on MacBook? I did it once and I don't know how I did it :P

Command + whatever the key is in Windows is generally the convention. Holds true for more than just copy/paste (undo is Command + Z, blah blah blah). I grew up on Windows and Red Hat; it took me awhile to get used to it, but now I switch back and forth from ctrl to Command with no problems.
