Humanitarian solutions should be proposed at the initial stages of conflict or before conflicts begin and not at the final stages of a conflict. At the final stages, conflicts should be left alone so that the problems can be solved for once and for all like in Sri Lanka. Therefore, whenever advice is given by super powers during a high points in a conflict, the lesson is to ignore them and proceed to finish the conflict. Else, these conflicts will drag on and on and on for many decades.
Either help those countries solve their problems genuinely for humanitarian reasons before they become conflicts or leave them alone to sort them out on their own.
