I volunteer for the RSPCA. By law they have to destroy a dog classed as a pit. It is illegal in the U.K to own one without a license and they are not allowed to adopt them out. Nobody wants to put a healthy dog down. It is traumatic and heartbreaking for the staff but until the law changes they do not have a choice. I grew up with a pitbull, she was the sweetest, most gentle creature I'll ever know so it's hard to know what happens to them. Don't blame the RSPCA for a law they can't control.

The ACD ( that would be the Cattle Dog to you)in fact has sat at the top of statistics for some time now .The good ole Aussie Blue ( or Red) , imagine if they called for a ban on those? Not going to happen is it? No.Therefore serious attacks will continue as they always have...by all manners of breed.Did you know the Labrador is considered a Dangerous Dog in some states of the USA and the Border Collie is Banned in Italy? The RSPCA do not condone cruelty, the world today is not responsible enough to handle such a breed. Sorry but there only a handful of people who are responsible enough to handle a pit bull. I used to breed pits, and stopped because of the morons that wanted to buy them, I was very fussy on who I sold pups too, but still found 1 to be abused. They are bred to kill........

I think this video is misleading to say the least, it infers that the RSPCA has inflicted these horrible injuries to these animals, it is clearly the type of people attracted to this type of dog that is the problem not the breed. Although I have seen what a APBT is capable of if not treated correctly, I don't think the greater human race is sensible enough to handle them, so I agree on the destruction of the breed.
