6 years from 83-89 was all good for me ...... would not trade it for the world but that incline at the start of the gate is NOOOOOOO!! joke..... seems like its less jumping ..... more like speed jumping like we used to call it .. racers are def more skilled i suppose ..... glad to see its still alive ...... nice comp

Starting isn't the difficult part. They'll be other novice riders your age at the track to compete against. Just keep at it, don't stress it, have fun, and it'll come.

last year I raced against a 29I, and I was only a 13N! He crashed by flipping over the gate way to early. It was hilarious.

It was really funny, because he kept saying to me,"don't get in my way!" lol I was also racing against a full gate of 16N and 15I's. I hated that race even though I made it to 5th.

He didn't just close the door with a block pass, he ran the rider on the outside right off the track. Karma, or "payback is a M.F." it's all good :)

Then again, instead of holding his line and getting his elbows out, you can see the outside rider adjust his line higher just past the apex of the corner. Encouraging the inside rider. Whether he was planning something and got bent over instead or just got schooled is hard to say.
