this is very common issue with uverse. i am prem tech (installer) and I know first hand what a terrible product it is. your better off with your local cable company.
AT&T U-VERSE SUCKS!!!!! It's not the HDMI cable either. They have a glitch in their system that fucks up our brand new receiver every week. Called tonight for the four time in four weeks. Supervisor said he's sorry, but they are not going to be fixing that update problem for a while. Meanwhile I would need to unplug all cables and power cords, let box reset, then plug everything back together again. Tonight that won't work, so I canceled our service and suing AT&T. If so, to answer your comment, I already canceled my service and sued them for breach of contract. Settled before we went to small claims court. haha
From what I understand, their glitch still continues. Direct TV is much better. Doesn't suck like "nickconfidental" and U-verse does. At least "nickconfidental" swallows.

@nickconfidental Never claimed to be a big shot on filing for small claims. In fact they settled with a refund to make me happy enough. Even more happier with my DirectTV. You obviously take it personally that so many people hat AT&T. Their service sucks... and they've had many chances with our neighborhood. To my knowledge, almost every neighbor has canceled their AT&T service with U-verse, cause the morons that come out don't have the knowledge to fix the problems.

Actually after reading your comments, I've come to the conclusion that the only thing you know how to do is actually cuss and look like a prick. So fuck off.
that is a common problem with coax cables hooked up to the video in port; you can unscrew them, place a very small dap of silver heatsink compound (the type used for processor heatsinks) and that will seal the ground circuit, eliminating the freezing and pixillation. The tv is fine and the set top box is fine, thats a coax connection issue
sorry thats not uverse problem its your tv it self having the problem.. your tv is having bleeding problems with color. common for lg and sony tvs.. and many more..

cat5 is your friend with Uverse. Blows away cable coax for picture quality. But it's obvious this coax cable was bad.
