  • Oh silly little suburban kids sitting on your computers complaining about a wolf in a zoo. Zoos are wonderful tools for the conservation of wild species. Not only do they raise awareness (as this show is doing) but the breeding programs help to increase the population.

Wolf populations are actually expanding in the wild thanks to conservation efforts made by zoos.

  • Ok, for everyone hating, the wolf is actually probably safer in the zoo! In the wild, the wolf could be shot, get rabies, get killed by another wolf, get killed by another animal, ect. Honestly, most people would never be able to see a wolf in their life, now they can! And if you think what your saying is "good" when you say rude things to zoos, then how come practically every hate post has a cuss word on it? If you were saying something good and humane and kind, then you wouldn't be cussing.

  • He is huge!

  • fuckin bastards........ free the poor thing, he doesn't belong in a cage, he belongs in the wild

  • i belive if an aniaml is at a zoo, is that they are there for some rescue reson and protectiioin from something that can kill them...not just for our entertainment,,,

  • I don't think many people understand how much good Kenai is doing for his species. I heard this boy howl when he first started this show and he inspired me to sponsor a wild wolf and I have been doing that ever since. What these animals do is inspire people to help the species. Many people would never get to see a wolf up close without zoos and there would be many more people in the world who just don't give a rat's ass about them because of never having this kind of experience.

  • to everyone hatin' - ok seriously, why? we have plenty of wolves in the wild, they're not currently endangered, and Kenai serves as an ambassador. Many ppl won't ever be able to see a wolf in their lives, and he serves as an ambassador for the species. just listen to the girl in the video, shes all choked up over listening to it. and the wolf doesnt seem to mind at all. until this animal pulls a shamu and kills its trainer, im all for the education

  • f u san diego for doing this for wolf im califorina but this is way 2 far

  • Absolutely disgusting treating a beautiful creature like a circus clown for the amusement of howling monkeys. Shame on you

  • the wolf is saying "let me go set me free" but still soo cute

  • Poor thing.

  • this hurt my heart....

  • a wolf on a leash ? is a dog... they treat it like a pet

when will they ever learn ?

  • wolfie is howling cause their "communicating". you people don't know if he/she is suffering. who's to say? wolfie could be howling for ... a love call, hunting call, for another wolf, or... to kill people that can't shut up..... jk. but no if your sick of seeing it... why watch it? why not do something? geez...

  • it's simply sad to see a wolf in a leash like that.

  • thats wrong i don't mind them being in zoos if its the right habitat but to be put on display when he doesnt want to some animals enjoy it but the animals who enjoy it don't need chains thats just wrong

  • My goodness, what a magnificent animal! We should be grateful that this zoo is trying to teach the younger generation that wolves are beautiful and amazing, this zoo is providing a home for the wolf, it's not like they starve it or torture it. Would it be better to have a mother wolf shot down for her pelt, leaving her poor pups to be traded for money or such? Please be a bit more considerate. I love wolves as much as the next person, but please try to see the brighter side of things.

  • @rosar2698 exactly, i think the same thing when i see a coment like "poor wolf, he wants to be free" im sure he does, but, dont complain about it so much. i've been to a zoo, they take good care of the animals there. they feed them, they keep them healthy and happy. NO ONE wants to hear bull sh*t about "poor wolf". if your so upset, do something about it!

  • Comment removed

  • LET HIM GO!!! thats what he is really howling for, he's telling you all you sound stupid and he wants the life he deserves IN THE WILD!!!!!

  • @shadowheart322 oh.. you interpret wolf howls? that's pretty cool.

  • Poor thing,

  • the wolf is howling in sadness.....

  • U PEOPLE ARE JUST SICK THIS ANIMAL IS SCARED AND WANTS TO BE FREE I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY!!! this is just sick

  • 100 morons wannabe wolfs howling......poor animal.....

  • welcome to america, "Land of the free" my left butt cheek

  • Also... keep in mind that people are the only ones that will ultimately decide the fate of this amazing species. It's easy to form a negative opinion regarding wolves when you've never witnessed their magnificence in person. They will leave a lasting impression on people who will one day fight fiercely to defend and preserve them. I value that zoo.. for showing children the true beauty of that wolf, and contradicting the "big bad wolf" theories of old that led to ignorance, fear... and execution

  • Wow... I can't believe the level of ignorance in so many of these comments. Mikaila31 is 100% correct. You people act as they are actually torturing this beautiful animal. They not only provide the wolf with a safe and healthy existence, the social interaction that wolves naturally crave, but they are ATTEMPTING to educate and enlighten. Please focus your anger on those who are actively exterminating them all over again here in the U.S. along with the legislators who sponsor such policy.

  • i feel bad for him he need to be SET FREE he does not belone there he belones in the wild with the other wolves

  • disgusting. I feel so sad after watching this.

  • LOL. The wolf's like, "This is how you do it, silly humans!"

  • No, actually, that would be "hoominz"

  • used to love zoos and animal parks as a kid, but i HATE them now!!!!!! hate hate hate hate haaaaaaaaaaaattttttte them!

that poor wolf... on chains like that, ZOOS JUST SUCK ROCKS! LOOK AT THEM! those ppl are mocking him, i wouldn't have howled, i would have crossed my arms and shook my head at the zoo keepers.

the poor wolf has been set up too a life of just... makeing ppl laugh!

IT'S REVOLTING! zoos should be for animals that are nearly extinct, you know, like an emergency............

  • @SheWolf8765 well that zoo very well could be breeding the wolf, which is endangered and needs out help even though we are the ones to put it in the situation in the first place. That would also seems quite fit, healthy, and happy. If that would wasn't happy its tail would be between its legs and probably wouldn't have joined in the howling. He's probably just as happy in that zoo than a domesticated dog at home, because he has known nothing different.

  • I cried

  • the only reason id use a zoo is for the almost extinct. emergencies.

  • Any of them should

  • i was thinking the same! this is a beautiful animal it should be FREE!. I HATE it when they use animal for shows!!.

  • Good Wolf <3

  • wolves belong in the wild not in a prison

  • Ît is really sad to see natures most beautiful and proud creature being treated like that...

  • I HATE zoos!

  • Poor wolf...

  • this video makes me so sad

  • @DamniShelford i agree, it made me wince. putting animals on display for our amusement is sometimes a bit painful to watch

  • @DamniShelford Say no more!

  • This video makes human beings look like assholes !

  • He probably wondered why everyone stopped howling

  • fucking zoo!

  • fuck you

  • Can you image that this POOR wolf HAVE to do this shit for EVERY FUCKING day of his life????

    fucking zoo :(

  • the only reason why they howl is because its painful to their ears, this is sad...

  • this is one of the saddest vids I've ever seen...

  • FUCK THE ZOO!

  • motherfuc*** let the wolf be free !!! ... i hate the f*** zoo ... make bad for the animals for what? for nthing ...

  • @demon666ro i dont know about that wolf but if its the arctic there almost extinct they should be kept in the zoo for breeding to bring the numbers back up then released

  • @demon666ro i agree

  • i love zoo but this is CRUEL IT MAKES IT SAD!!!

  • A 'fake' howl? Right. You truly sound like a behaviorist now. Good job.

Training is how this wolf was taught to howl on command. Not torture. Geez.

  • @schadenfreude713 I agree.

  • @sasukerulez231 :i agree 100% with you.

  • This video should be removed off of Youtube due to animal torture... you sick people you can't store a wolf in your gay little zoo like that and make it howl. It probably has forgotten how to howl like a real wolf because of these humans literally MAKING IT. Can you not hear? That was a fake howl, the howl of sadness.

  • Despite the fact that Zoos do engage in breeding programs and conservation? It was only though this that the red wolf was saved, when the entire species was down to only 14 captive wolves. This artic wolf was probably captive bred, and besides wild wolves will howl in response to humans howling too. Zoos educate the public, without them some species would probably of go extinct by now. Know what you are talking about before you comment.

  • Ya, that's what I THOUGHT AT FIRST. Zoos are educational.

Today most zoos don't get created so they educate people. It's mostly for entertainment for people. And still, it is wrong to lock up an animal, especially a wolf, in there. And I bet it doesn't like being locked up in a cage after the show. And also, FY. if the wolf DOES hear humans' howles almost every day or week, it possible that it really has forgoton to howl like a real wolf. I mean, if you hear the same song everyday, you learn it.

  • God it is going to be a sad day when everyone thinks like you. Zoos are educational and help with conservation. If you want animals for entertainment go to the circus. The San Diego zoo has one of the largest conservation programs, and the zoo its self is run by a nonprofit group. How is it wrong to contain an animal? All the animals we keep as pets are confined to there cages or the house. People keep many exotic pets that you can find in zoos.

  • Whatever, just get off my back already. We all have our own opinions.

  • Pets are taught to perform their basic skills on command and they are called tricks. So, what is wrong with this? As long as he is treated gently that would be alright.

  • Wolves howl to communicate. It may be a love call, a call for a pack to hunt or to a death toll. We can just hope that everytime he howls it is a love call. Other animals would know and if it is a death toll or an attack, they know.

  • A.L.F.

  • fuck the zoo..poor animal

  • cool i love wolfs

  • That's really cool. Gotta love wolves.
