@Aueneye -- Thank you. I watched this and thought, if this is a sample of most Americans' command of the English language, we're fucked. Consternation? Mitigate? I am truly afraid if reasonably well-educated adults cannot recognize those words.

@gaia1214 I agree! With the exception of the esoteric french and german expressions the words Tim Gunn is using are not challenging to understand for anyone with what should be an Average command of english.

@katwoody515 What about when I use adopted words in English conversation like 'entrepreneur' or 'guardian'? Am I suddenly speaking another language. Or if I said, that is 'so passe compose' [past tense]... its an adopted expression. Unless it is not well used (so as to count as an expression in my eyes), then it should not be considered as 'speaking another language'... as expression of ideas and feelings usually transcends language.
