Since I'm an FF fan since 1999 and played every FF (except FF11 and FF14, I'd say the newer generations of FF fans need to play the older FFs that's why it needs a remake. Though I'm an FF8 fan, I'd really recommend you to play FF9, the story is great and you can see shitloads of allusions and references from previous FFs (FF1-FF8).

I think Square is trying to hard to turn FF into a more action based game to try and get more customers... I personally prefer the turn-based battles.

@RokuJonne Lol. I don't really see how Cloud is annoying, especially if you played the original FF7, he's much different there. His EX mode is generally regarded as one of the best, he becomes completely unblockable. The only thing Sephiroth has is Heartless Angel.
Original Lionheart had 18 hits right + the initial hits of Renzokuken(need to search for the vid) while Omnislash was 17 (need to search for this one too)
I think that both are powerful attacks and say if Cloud was using the Omni slash from the movie were he uses all his swords I think that one is about even considering how many times cloud would actualy hit you with just one imagine if he used all the swords now that would be somthing!!

i have to say, even though Clouds Omnislash is well know because the game was epic and the movie made it even greater, but when you see Renzokuken/Lionheart from the original 8 and even the one from Dissidia, all credit goes to Squall. His is faster and way stronger and lasts alot longer so he deals more damage. nice vid:)

i have to say, even though Clouds Omnislash is well know because the game was epic and the movie made it even greater, but when you see Renzokuken/Lionheart from the original 8 and even the one from Dissidia, all credit goes to Squall. His is faster and way stronger and lasts alot longer so he deals more damage. nice vid:)

@Kongregater3 What Future? I completed FF8 Perfectly. Squall's Dad used the gunblade before Squall was even born. and If you mean the Lion Heart...I got it before going to the future in the game.
And by the way....Squall can fight without using the explosive shots of the blade.

Squall is much much stronger than Cloud, They did not put squall's full Lion Heart attack, They put only one hit in Dissidia. If they put Squall's full limit break he would be the strongest charchter in the game. Search for his Original Limit break and judge by yourself.

Personally, I prefer Squall's Revolver over Cloud's Buster. But I hate the Lion Heart, It look ridiculous. And by the way, just stop those discussion about who is emo already. eh...Squall deserved to win anyways...Square Enix spoils Cloud too much...Sure Squall isn't infused with mako but heck he still owned!! So what if it's Sephiroth (But I like Sephiroth,he's cool and doesn't have an evil laugh) Did you see Squall vs. Sephiroth in the opening movie of Dissidia? im sorry but, doesnt the fact that Cloud can hold an epicly huge weapon like the Buster Sword, with one hand, and use it, tell you something? Cloud is a mako infused powerhouse, whereas Squall... Yeah he's cool and everything, but hes slow and cumbersome, and had the FF with the worst storyline EVER! i mean an evil sorcerous who controls time, who is then defeated by Squall and Co who travel in time to her? Sephiroth owns Ultimecia, and Cloud beat him...

@WolfReaper14 I agree the story isn't that great but the fact Squall(17, in FF8) is younger than Cloud(21, in FF7) and can pull of an ultimate, namely LIONHEART(21, HITS ALL in ALL EXCLUDING RENZOKUKEN ) which is stronger than OMNISLASH(15Hits Normal Verson, Ver 6. 14Hits) says something about him, plus the fact yet again he isn't some genetical modified person...

P.S Referring to Squall VS Ultimecia in Dissidia... But all the Same which should not compare them both as they have their own ups and downs...
