  • Bet it capsized.

  • Skipper turns to stern = bad form. What, is he gonna back it up?

  • @hankfletcher Nope.

Turning to stern because the mainsheet is led straight off the horse. This is good form when rigged this way.

  • @vibratingstring Yeah, paying attention to where you're steering the boat is so over-rated...

  • @hankfletcher

Haha it isn't a car on a highway LOL.

  • @vibratingstring Your casual attitude towards proper navigation must be great comfort for the skippers at your club.

  • @hankfletcher

Double Haha, you are rather confused.

If you can't walk and chew gum at the same time, you are not qualified to sail a boat.

  • @vibratingstring I can walk and chew gum, I just choose to not do it backwards, and in public, because that just looks silly.

  • @hankfletcher

If you take your position to its logical conclusion, it would be considered bad seamanship for the helmsman to look over his shoulder for puffs or overtaking boats. Sheesh. Evidently you have never sailed a dinghy with a mainsheet led from the sheet horse. this is standard practice.
