the dialogue is pretty accurate, but unfortunately in one game elimination games, ANYONE can win. If it was the best of 7, then maybe Canada would domiate more as their stars would have more time to gell and the chemistry would get better.

Don't comment on hockey when all you do is listen to the announcers and now think you are pro; unless you've played the game aswell, you know shit all about how a gold medal team is built from the ground up. Canada didn't deserve to win the way they played the first game, they were an unmeshed group of hype.
Thanks to USA, we got a second chance and we used it to find chemistry, good lineups and it paid off.

Three things...
1. American women hockey players were twice as hot as their Canadian counterparts.
2. Canada's biggest threat to the gold medal clearly was not Russia or Sweden. It was the US. And considering the US is NOT a hockey country and doesn't care for the sport that's all the more remarkable.
3. Now that the Canadian players have won gold, they'll go back playing for American teams in American cities since Canada doesn't have a real economy.

Nobody trashed taled anyone, There is nothing in Canadian and American media about trash talk in between the teams.
Of the 23 players on each teams, 19 Canadians are teammates with 13 players on the US side. Coaching staff? Canadian coach Mike Babcock is in Detroit, US coach Ron Wilson is in Toronto. Considering where they coach and play I seriously doubt that anyone would trash talk anybody.
