damn dude..Great job! I have an 84 diesel i am rebuilding now,. It was getting 51 MPG until last week..the fuel pump ran away and it blew a head gasket. I am rebuilding the engine and changing the clutch. Last yr got a new Mahogany paint job. I am wondering where you found the weatherstripping to do around the windows and around the doors. I cant find them anywhere..thanks man.. Joe
@MiaBellaGSD If I was in your possition... I throw that old engine out and install a nice TDI unit... it is your call... all the seal and trim was bought at farout parts, but I think they are closed now... good luck with your project.

Love the way you rebuilt the front end to euro style. The conversion to the "convertible" bumpers in comb with the steel rims is greet to! I have a 83 3 drs GTI 112hp motorcode dx. My daily is a 91 5 drs 1.8carb 90hp. Both original en no rust. Good luck with your "love".

Yes I had before. I re did it because of some (c) issue... I also made it 16:9 in the same time.... I wish to make a new one this summer, this is getting old.. sorry for the re-post.

-The Rabbit never came with rear disk brake this have been fitted with Scirrocco 16V parts.
-No A/C
-Engine is a 2.0L from a 1995 Cabrio
-Yes they did had Diesel engine back in the years
