Seriously Halo 2 had the best Campaign. There was just so much to work with nd the Script was incredible. Nothing was rushed nd alot of explaining went on. And the Scenes were perfect. Halo 1 eh Sorry it may of gave me a different feeling playing it in the campaign of a more alien horror. Halo 2 just set the story and we found out who were the leaders of each faction. Halo Reach was incredible but i still liked Halo 2 because it just had so much more levels nd it was long.

Johnson and the Arbiter survive Halo 1 because they needed some more characters in the sequal.

Halo 1 ended in a sort of semi cliffhanger meaning that if it was bought loads then they could make a sequal, but the game itself finished.

Halo 2 is a clear cliffhanger-demanding-sequal game whereas halo 1 and halo 3 are not. They just have endings which give/gave bungie the option of making more games without starting on a completely new story.
