  • I don't know if your choice of pitches for the hanging gongs was intentional or not, but the way their pitches complement and interplay with those of the piano was very, very cool. Enjoyed it!

  • That was truly amazing, Mr. Cangelosi. Words cannot express the emotional response that I got from this piece.

  • Fantastic! Congrats again Casey!

  • Beautiful. Quite a departure from your other music. Is this a commission, for yourself, for a school project? Seems that all of the tape is sampled sound? What is the dialogue from in part 1?

  • @mprimecoleman Hey Matt, what's new? I wrote the piece for myself and yes, it certainly covered a lot of new ground for me. In the conversation, the young woman tries to explain the effects of taking LSD; even though she's colorblind, she claims to now see color.

  • @mprimecoleman You're right, all the tapped sounds are acoustic; my thought was to keep the music's "senses", like the young woman's, in flux (ie: Fmajor vs F#major, natural light vs artificial light, acoustic vs artificial acoustic). Always fun talking with you Matt.

  • So dark. Awesome piece.
