it's extremely possible ...lol theres some really satisfied people here a thanks to all those who said somthing good lets see.. simiancreaseboy aussieangie cartoon806 WayfaringOne00 TomSchulteis shasaki baro0202 Beachcomber95 katejb well thats all of them .....thankyou!!!
So true ...'What we want in life, it wants us too' !!
When he speaks, it's with sincerity and genuine concern for those he's speaking to. I'm so deeply grateful for coming across this. Thank you for up loading it. XX
He knows written and read poetry is part of the tools of the mind. That's why he shouts out Dickinsin in one of her poems. She's not exactly on some Poetry Slam stuff. Reading vs. hearing poetry? Throw in watching video clips. It all a wash, it's all like chewing cud. It's organized despair. But if you ride the snake....
"If you want to be the change that you want to see in this world, then instead of basing your major on what will earn you allot of money, base your major on what you feel that you may have been put here to do."
"whatever you're looking for in life, it's looking for you too" sounds cliche, but geez for some reason listening to him say it is just so empowering. may be one of the greatest poets if not inspirational speakers of our time. cheers.
I know eh? When you hear him say it then it's plain as day, like "of course". Another line I like:
The most important relationship for you guys to develop, starting right now is your relationship with your guts, with your intuition. Because most of us develop relationships with our doubts, with our fears like 'ahh I can't do it that way...mmbml' but what we reap is bullshit. we reap lives full of doubt and fears"
that quote just made my day. was watching through some of his performances back in the day. and its just great that he's a beacon of hope for artists out there wanting to be more than just entertainers...hes proving you can change the world one heart and mind at a time through beats and rhymes...and that was what hip hop was really about back in the day...but more so that is what art blossomed out of, a yearning for a better reality...not through escapism, mind you, but through realism.
Saul Williams is amazing. Truly...the things he is speaking about in this video is worth listening to and taking to heart. Thank you very much for the add...I needed to hear this.

Thanks so much for posting this. There aren't many videos of Saul just conversing with the audience. It's good to hear about what he believes
