  • OHMIGOD! that standing full was so fricken high!

  • parallel bars is great for conditioning and training for girls! lol-the first guy on beam would never be able to have children if he was on a normal beam XD

  • Anyone notice the guy in the beginning sitting down...shake his head and hands like "Noo no no!"

  • ive done a standing arabian on the low beam once!!.. and im a guy!

  • Surely if guys want to 'risk' training on a beam they should be 'allowed' to? Why would anyone say they can't? Balance training is good for any gymnast/whatever your background is and I can't think of many things that requires balance as much as a balance beam. Got for it guys! And girls go for rings/P-bar/everything else people say you 'shouldn't' do. Exploring new ways to move is exciting for everyone !!!

  • I LOVE WOODWARD WEST

  • Uhmm , Thatd be reallly painful if they fell .. the wrong way.. onto it .

  • @dramaqueen1029384756 im guessing your a girl?

  • @KiprusoffFan3 Im guessing your thinking imma girl ?

  • @KiprusoffFan3 Pretty Sure.

  • Ok I don't have an issue with a girl doing P bars, but no guy should risk beam...

  • boys should not do beam.

  • Beam is one thing i wanna learn in gymnastics...and im a boy :(((

  • @Tomlinson09A just use floor beams :0

  • I don't think that's altogether true - if balance were naturally better in girls than boys then there wouldn't be exceptional male ballet dancers or other style of dancers...tight rope walkers, etc. Men have just as much balance as women do - I always loved playing on the beam when I was training...it actually helped me balance a lot and land things on the floor better.

  • um... why so much music

  • AMAZING

  • @hippiegirl811 totally!!! insane height on standing anything, let alone F skill, full twisting back tuck

  • Wht gym do u coach at?

  • gay

  • Boys don't do the beam because of their center of balance, landing straight doesn't hurt a guys balls, and if they are leaning forward they would catch themselves with their hands, although it is a risk factor, it is only minor.

  • First video= why boys DON'T do beam :)

  • Boys dun do beam cuz of high risk of testicular injury... and women naturally have better balance due to more of their mass located in their hips... and they r shorter. both of those result in lower center of gravity.

  • i love woodward! that is where they made this vid :)

  • haha.. mac music fails.

  • ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • WHAT THE FUCK is with this music? All these extra effects are messing up the video.

  • @MySportsFanatic I actually couldn't stop laughing at this video because of those noises! xD

  • wow lol the boys are good at beam! the girl was ok on the parrlel or however you spell it!

  • was that charlie tomayo ! ww he is hectic judging from all the good videos that have the same person.. i think that gym has alot of fun! i love new skills !

  • that was cool to watch!

  • pretty funny but you can obviosly tell that girls cant support as well as guys and guys dont have enough balance and will always hit their nackers!

  • Girls used to do pb years ago in the 30's or something. There are some old vids with them on

  • @sweetiecandykim no it was the uneven bars put the bars were so close to each other

  • @Hathor9901

its called the parallel bars i hate it when people comment on gymnastics videos and know nothing about the sport

  • @CassidyMcComb2010 The uneven bars is called Uneven parallel bars :D:D:D

which means that the apparatus originally consisted of men's parallel bars but set to different heights which made it called UNEVEN :D :D:D:D:D

which also means it wasn't the same apparatus :D

  • boys cant do beam bcoz if they fell1 leg either side they would split their balls

  • I think girls would feel right at home on p-bars. What I would like to see is a girl doing a rings routine. That would be awesome!

  • idk about that. that would require large muscles and muscly women are intimidating and scary

  • I don't believe so. Rings requires a lot of relative strength, not necessarily large muscles. I think any girl that is good on uneven bars could bust out a front lever, handstand, and possibly a planche on rings. Crosses and Malteses are probably a different story...

  • that was kind of my point.guys can do beam and girls can do rings, but they would really struggle with some of the more difficult elements. you know alot about gymnastics for a traceur lol

  • I remember once the BBC commentators mentioning that Anna Pavlova could work rings. I would love to see it!
