MMM Actually this is incorrect, You cannot hold any NM for 5 minutes without starting to kill it. After that a GM will force you to either begin attacking or release the mob immediatly. It's stated so in the most recent gm handbook.

Not anymore, SE announced that they no longer help with holding issues. Any big HNM (like fafnir/nidhogg) all have rage timers, so GM's wont help with any type of holding.

RMTs once called a GM on a Beastmaster in my linkshell for charming an Amemet placeholder. The GM intervened and told the BST that he had to release the pet, even though he used Familiar, which allows you to hold a charmed pet of any strength for 30 minutes. People frequently claim HNMs with less than enough people to defeat it so they can sleep it until help arrives. If someone calls a GM the GM will make you start damaging the mob within 5 minutes, regardless of where your help is.

Rmt stands for real money trader, they camp nms and make gil in game, usually unfairly by using bots and such. Then once they have the money they sell it for real life money.
