Im glad you took the time to make the commentary. Its really fun for me, and others too probably, to understand what glitches you were doing because it actually does make some sense when you explain how they work and what you do... Probably because we spent a lot of hours messing around with half life 2 games as well. Awesome! :)

Just got finished watching all the commentaries.

Completely awesome!

I think it's be sweet to see a movie with all these videos. For example, the opening would be the complete speed run, then intro video, then the commentary room by room, and after each room, it shows the speed run room split-screen in 1st and 3rd person. Just a thought.

With your tactics throughout the speedrun, I'd bet you can find Atlantis or the city of the mole people.

I loved going through the commentary. And I'm pretty sure Valve saw your speed run, I actually found your speed run earlier on Steam in the Portal 2 news section. It was damn good, but so fast I couldn't tell what was going on. So it was nice to see you going through it slowly and talking about it.

The way you can actually reach the cake and even stop the ending of the game makes me think that it may have been intended to be possible. I mean I don't get why it's not just an animation and it's actually the game that needs to fullfill something to end itself. Also awesome how the last autosave was near the cake.

Also: You got the cake! Glados wasn't lying you just needed to break several laws of physics and warp outside the univers a few times XD

for those who say the cake wasnt a lie, i present this fact. the cake in the game is not a physical prop, but rather an "effect object" (is what i like to call them). they are not affected by physical objects and can be placed in air without falling. its kind of like a hologram.

I think the reason the Companion Cube doesnt move at the end is because in this version the physics were probably changed a little so it's different from when you did the speedrun...

@ryker666 No. It didn't change. I redid that end segment 8 or 9 times. The one you see in Portal Done Pro was 2 out of the 8 or 9 that actually successfully moved out of the way. It seems pretty random if it feels like freaking out or not.

you should have offset it so it would fly towards you. you wouldn't get hurt though, right? nah, you wouldn't. going to noclip at this point crashes the game, so probably that means you are in a much different state than the normal gameplay. it doesn't make sense that you would actually be there for the cutscene as it is.

@Batosai3591 Yup. I still read comments. :-) The main problem with me... I'm kinda OCD about getting everything done perfectly, so I'm only really able to speedrun short games. Portal was popular, and I really enjoyed it, so I figured it was the best candidate to go all out on. I've also spent a lot of time working on HL2 (and EP1/2) speedrunning, so I had the experience and determination to do this.
