i got these white fillings, they're aight. Prefer them obviously over those shiny dark metal looking ugly ones.

Just got a white filling today, in replace of the grey one i had that was cracked. I payed $120 off pocket for each OUCH. Dr. recommended to get it so it won't break as easily as the grey ones, and because i was at risk for getting a crown soon if they crack again. They were pretty old, but i have the bad luck they crack and crack. Anyone here has white fillings, and had one broken?.. if yes, if no.. then thats what i wanna hear :-) lol

Why not close the mouth gently, in order to ''create'' the filling shape on the top ???

we avoid the drill smoothing ...

That wont work. Teeth normally hit at point contacts that are much smaller than the size of the filling. Also, simply biting down would not smooth any roughness or irregularities that would harbor bacteria. Also, the restoration needs to be isolated from saliva if it is a resin filling to allow for a good bond and seal.

@NeosMusicUnlimited it stays for a few year and sometime it just falls off . remember to go to ur dentist if this ever happen

i would mention that to the dentist. You should be able to floss after a restoration is done on a particular tooth, you should not, however, have food particles impact in between the teeth that have been restored. =)

So is theres in filling sopposed to jam in between the tooth that it is on and the tooth next to it makingit feel like you have something stuck in between your teeth? Plus not only that there is a piece of ressin sticking out between my teeth that my tongue isgoing to work on and its raw now. My teeth hurt from the wedge and the doctor said it was fine.
