  • damn right

  • That's is one bitchin ride for grandma.

  • 121 mph! If this thing were geared properly, with a high stall converter and a good pair of slicks, he'd be in the tens.

  • Love watching this vid the MARK VIII's where just cold! Look @it!!! You where cool even when you weren't tryna be.

  • @spikerazzor lol, nan these engines can keep up with vettes if not destroy them...liters of displacement becomes equal to each other once a turbine is added. Most V6's have V8 sized pistons so if ya add a dish/4valves/stronger bearings and valve springs...well ya know.

  • hey i jus bought a 95 mark viii and i really want to do some serious upgrades to it this car is jus too plain but its still fast. can u give me some ideas like wat am i lookin at to put some serious muscle into this car?????????? thanks

  • rocket couch!

  • i have an 03 cobra and looking for a good tire. you launched very well on those 315's. which nitto's were those? and what was your 60 foot time?

  • What is this ugly stuff??? The Mark VIII is one of the nicest muscle cars around. I think of them as a Modern GTO or 442. Why Lincoln does not bring this car back i'll never know? The current lineup is boring as hell. And what moron thought a Lincoln pickup truck was a great idea I hope is washing toilets now... Lincoln made the same mistake that Mercury with the Cougar back in the day. They could not figure how to market worth a damn. The Mark VIII looks like a real car, not a KIA hamster ride.

  • if ford would have built all their cars like this there would be no lexus or acura ;)

  • This car is so cool! For anyone who believes the new v6 lincolns have nothing on V-8's....they're modular 60 degree V-6's with forged internals...some come with 2turbo's hmmmm....now what came outta Japan in LATE DECEMBER 2007 with a engine similar to such specs....????

  • @Speedmccool385bitch Nah, has nothing to do with it. Remember that Nissan had a turbo V6 from the early 80's - the late 90's, they replace that with with an N/A V6 that was all aluminum and not a cast iron boat anchor like the previous one. Naturally if Nissan wanted to put this new V6 info an application that would be chasing after Corvettes and what not they would need to boost the motor, otherwise they wouldn't stand a chance.

  • me im a chevy guy!!!!! but the Mark viii's are very nice cars looks and performance!!!! CHICKS MAY POST COMMENTS SAYING THEY ARE UGLY!!!!! But REAL GUYS NO THEY ARE AWESOME AMERICAN CARS... Period!!

  • i luv this freakin car! i always watch it when i come on here! LOVE IT!

  • this cars are fast, but their super ugly

  • @nevermkIII Why would u say they are ugly? It's all a matter of opinion... I think they look amazing. U may like the look of a pt cruiser, I think they look like shit but who cares. Why u gotta hate on shit people like. Personally as a Mark VIII owner i am offended and I think other Mark owners would be as well.

  • @iamstudman dude i have a 97 mark viii also n i dont care if other people say that their ugly, all i care is about interior n engine. i was just giving my opinion, sorry if i made u feel bad

  • @nevermkIII

You have a Mark VIII but you think the exterior is ugly? All you care about is interior and engine?

    What planet are you from?

  • I miss my M92 (vandalized at 327 729 km). God (aka Hank the Great) said Ford should build the cheapest car on the planet and it should BE A V-8 (like in 1932). FoMoCo don't know what they did when they killed Mercury. My Hlllann has been loyal to that brand starting with 1942 CMP-13 Bulldog; 1946 Mercury 114 (CDN0; 1954 Meteor Niagara; 1960 Météor Rideau 500 Montcalm, etc., etc.). I Think the Mk WYTH was the American Concorde. Happy new Anna Perenna OSS 9 x 13

  • COOL 1/8, I bet it does about 13s in the 1/4!

  • @lethalphoenix Um.... this IS the Quarter mile kid!!!! YES i know hard to believe for a Lincoln, but Mark 8's kick ass! :)

  • Man Lincoln MK VIII's are awesome. Last good car Lincoln made if you ask me. V8, RWD, IRS etc etc now they just take FWD V6 Ford Fusions and sparkle them up a little and put a Lincoln badge on them. Pathetic.

  • @MN12BIRD i hate to tell you but all this is, is a sparkled up thunder turd, they do that save money

  • @bigbadbronco86 So it's a similar chassis but you don't get the quad cam 4V 4.6L in the Thunderbird, nor do you get the air ride suspension. Besides it was an advanced chassis to begin with, since it was only one of two Domestic RWD cars to have IRS (the Corvette being the other) so it wasn't exactly a bad starting point now was it?

  • @MN12BIRD yeah i know all that but when you strip it all down to the body what do you have?

  • Comment removed

  • @MN12BIRD The EcoBoost MKZ has quite a bit of sparkle.... just sayin. But i do agree, the Mark VIII was the last true HotRod Lincoln! The LS sucked, and now it's all FWD and RWD. :(

  • i have a lincoln mark viii, with a chip, cold air intake, straight pipes, and nice chrome rims, not the best, but it's mine, and I fucking love it. it's a 94, all black.

  • I think Lincoln cars are all excellent I'm 19 and my first car ever is the towncar and it is very reliable and very comfortable. I want that mark viii but I can't find a used one anywhere

  • great!! awesome car

  • here comes 11:98-tt pauss

  • Damn you ricers have no shame, I suppose everybody is supposed to be driving in a torqueless little eggshell with 8000 pounds of boost. I think your girlfriends understand this concept well, SIZE DOES MATTER! No replacement 4 displacement. Id run a souped up LSC against you nipple biting haters any day.

  • this ride is badass fuck wt all them hating ass jotos talkn bout

  • had 1 i totaled mine some asshole ran me of the road these cars are badass

  • i now have wood

  • With the right gears and converter, at a 121 mph trap speed, this thing could touch the 10's

  • Why bother wasting your sorry ass opinions on this, if you are so jealous of the performance , just shut up and crawl under your sorry rice rocket

  • @cobraracing hahaha amen

  • @cobraracing the Lincoln Mark VIII is badass.

  • @exBMRguy wtf are you on!? have you ever been in one of these? they have some of the most comfortable seats in any car out there. and since when is leather crappy upholstery material? not to mention they whoop the shit out of hondas all day.

  • @mustangdrifter91 I bought/owned 3 used Mark VIII (all LSC's) growing up in college and those bucket seats are still better than the 65K Jaguar I drive now. Best seats ever (and the Mark VIII's had LSD!!!!!)

  • I have a mark vii.. But videos like this make me want a mark viii.

  • that is a bad ass mark viii dude.

  • ok im gonna have to stop watchin these fast ass mark 8s im thinkin of buyin one for a grand and this is only makin it worse

  • I love my 93! Runs great!

  • ahaha nevermind I realised after I wrote the last comment you stated the specs in the video description my mistake, still a beautiful ( sounding AND looking ) car! Wicked time too!

  • @GodlessMartyr666

Thanks, I sold it a few years back but still see it around

  • @cobraracing I would have bought that beast from you! good to hear you still get a chance to feel it rumble tho

  • @Kawasakiforlife7

Because I can, and it is the most comfortable street ride you will find (fast too)

  • @cobraracing yeah, i miss the days of when the only engine lincolns came with were v8's.

  • Comment removed

  • @cobraracing I can vouch for that! 2 years ago I started having insane back problems , i had slipped disc, it was the only car I could drive because it was so damn smooth

  • @cobraracing

Plus Lincolns are bad ass! you have a motor that puts out approx 300 bhp, airbag suspension that via minor tweaking you can manually control, leg room, and not to mention all the bolt-ons, I wonder why they are selling so cheap? They are seriously underrated cars!

  • @Kawasakiforlife7 y not if you spend time at a test and tune day you will see a sea of fox body mustangs. whats so bad about driving home with ac and leather?

  • @Kawasakiforlife7 because lincoln are the best cars ever made

  • @Kawasakiforlife7 its a cobra in disguise!

  • @Kawasakiforlife7 1 word: SLEEPER

  • shittin on em! lol

  • that steel crank wont last long

  • false, their good for 800+ hp

  • is it the forged steel cobra crank?

  • I would imagine so, but even if it were a stock cast iron crank ive seen them used in cars with 800 hp with no problem, and ive never heard of one breaking either, even at those power levels.

  • The cast crank is not reliable. I saw a Teksid block ruined because the dude put a blower on a Mk VIII and he was making around 550 hp....he blew out the crank about a year later.

The the forged cobra crank is good to 2000hp with a cold treatment & peen.

  • rods maybe but not the crank

  • incorrect.

That cobra crank is extremely tough. Ask any 4.6L dragster.

A guy I know runs this setup:

    4.6L teksid block

    Cobra Crank (cold treated)

Manley Pro series I beam rods

    twin 88mm turbos

    fueled by E100

    Est 1400hp

  • Yes i know the cobra crank is good for 2000+ hp, im saying that the mark viii with 550hp, the rods broke, not the crank

  • incorrect

he replaced the rods with skat h beams, and figured the cast crank was good to go.......not so!

  • Thats a first, sean hyland even says their good to 800hp, hard for me to belive that the crank broke but i guess its possible?

  • Maybe detonation got to it. He was running alotta psi through a centrifugal blower.

For 300 bucks, picking up a used cobra crank is CHEAP insurance =D

  • No, Its got the 8 bolt cast Iron crankshaft, only good for a 500hp limit. Still pretty dang good for a street driven beast though. the Mercury Marauder also came with the 8 bolt cast iron crankshaft. I hope this answers your question fully.

  • @Blackinterceptor999

I think we are miss reading each other.

I was just saying dont run the cast crank period of you are going to have power adders period. It is cheap insurance just to go with the cobra crank

  • Sean Hyland Motorsports Used the Teksid F6LZ-6010-AB Block for drag race engines of up to 1,500 HP "Also used in the 93-98 Lincoln Mark 8" The Teksid block is the strongest production aluminum mod block as of when his book was written in 2003.

So yeah your correct, good for WELL over 800hp with proper preparation.

  • Is this at Sparta?! Nice ride dude, always loved the MN12 and FN10 platforms.

  • awesome setup...I'd rather have that in something lighter.....but thats pretty original and pretty damn fast

  • sweet

  • Well, nOw I regret choosing the Riv over the Mk VIII. This things faster than my vette and as quiet as my Riv. Dang those Lincoln guys were making some good cars.

  • no riv is better in bot preformance and speed and comfort

  • I agree for stock. I test drove both and the s/c Riv just felt torquier. But one cannot argue with this kind of HP, and these Mk VIII's sure can put it down.

    Cheers!

  • i had a GTP supercharged. my friend has a lincoln mark viii. yes, of the line i beat him but on the highway, no chance. i since sold the gtp and my bought an LS Lincoln!

  • VERY nice. I miss my MKVIII, I had a '97 w/ 298RWHP, was fun while it lasted!!

  • The mustang is like, i'll be right with you let me fix my timing belt, i mean my altenator, ohh ok i got hey wait!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice work man

  • Oh look, the foxbody shit mustang is next to the Lincoln at the start :)

  • Wow, that comment was unneeded.

  • Lulz, i love them really, it just makes me laugh how people defend them as if there life depends on it. Good piece of machinery man.. just, looks like an old sierra, and imo, there ugly, but with the right subtle mods i think you can make them gorgeous.

  • How the fuck?! No goddamn way.

  • My father owns one. :D

  • how much you sell this for??

  • Dude...i wish my mark was like that...God damn i dont know what it is badder the Mark or the Marauder

  • Marks and Marauders both pack a 32v engine that can be put to work well and i wish my marauder ran like that Mark

  • god i love that

  • holy shit a fucking luxury car thats that fast holy shit its amazing do you have wieght reduction or jus engine upgrades

  • Stock weight but motor trans and diff mods

    Stock Air suspension

  • @cobraracing I feel bad for whatever poor transmission is in that Lincoln lol.

  • @gtdrummerdude It's the 4R70W and it is capable of about 500 hp in the stock form and a simple JMOD. I'm sure this transmission is built. Idiots who run these cars like children and put garbage tunes in them are the ones who have transmission problems. The 4R70W is a very tough automatic transmission. The AX4N in the Taurus is not. LOL

  • @cobraracing what bolt-ons could i do to my 95 mark viii for some extra performace? im havin a tuff time finding parts for it..

  • Comment removed

  • @idontgivafuk3641 to be honest the marks were fast to begin with but us muscle sedan lovers always have to add to the package! to ( cobraracing ) LOVE the mark! What sort of exhaust are you on?

  • THAT OTTA SET THE MARK!

  • Fear the Mark!

  • you know what...i wish lincoln would make another mark coupe..instead of lil compact 4 door mkz's and 6 cylinder mks's...though i heard about twin turbo on the latter...could you imagine a new mark coupe based off of the new mustang? oh man...bring me the LSC please....

  • I hate small cars as much as you do, but the truth is big cars can't sell because they're gas guzzlers and are expensive to ,maintain, so manufacture's have to bend to the economy. RIP V8 Big-Bodied cars!

  • '94 Lincoln Mark VIII: Gas mileage on highway between 24 and 29 mpg. Not exactly a gas guzzler.

  • I just LOVE the way, the nose hits the sky! That's one BADDA** Lincoln! ;-)

  • what did you do with the air suspension?

  • Mark VIII's are sexy

  • Lol.. True! ;-)

  • @EddyMcK I agree

  • does anyone know why it is that most people just do a underdrive crank pulley and not the waterpump or alternator? Isnt a kit for a 96-98 cobra a direct fit? Any info would be a huge help. Also how big of a difference do 4.10s make?

  • if you purchase a underdrive kit it will be for the crank, water pump, and the alternator. and yes 4.10's will make it feel like a dif car!

  • that Mustang did'nt want any of that.

  • Very nice Mark :)

Not sure if the poster of this video is still around still (corbaracing), but do you ever make it out to Cayuga with it at all? I have a Mark as well with gears and a tune, and would love to check out your car some time.

  • I sold the car a year ago, the new owner doesn't race but does drive it ALOT.....

  • Sorry to hear you go rid of it. I'd drive alot too, looks like a fun car :) Nice work.

  • good place to get forged pistons, rods, and crankshaft?

  • What trans?

  • Stock trans with the J mod from Alternative auto

  • Guys, there a 03 cobra motor converted to a 5L stroker, ported and polished heads, ported and knife edged intake with modified runners. The car has full exhaust on it with X-pipe.

  • thats awesome on street tires, good job

  • nice

  • what kind of hp can the stock block handle

  • I have seen up to 1000 hp from a stock block and more when modded

  • just wondering because i'm in iraq lookin for a 97-98 lsc probably pay with taxes

  • are they cobra r wheels on that car ?

  • Yes

  • Wow! that sounded mean as hell! love it!

  • we have a stock 94 mark viii all i have is a super chip.had to get better tiers, car is dangeros without good tiers i was thinking of a posi.what gears do you think we should use street/track.i like the mods on your car

  • Go 3.73 gears for all around perf.

  • i got a 93 lincoln mark 8 4.6 and i was wonderin wut should i do first to get some performance out of it??? thanks ures by the way if fuckin awesome!!

  • Gears, cold air kit, tune & exhaust will wake it up

  • Longtube headers, O/R midpipe, catback, ported heads, CAI, and 4.10 gears. ;)

  • I recommend a true dual exhaust with dual x pipes, flowmaster mufflers, k/n filter with bigger MAS, and a performance chip. Dont go with gears or a different differential unless you want to drag race a lot. Its not easily driveable with the 4.10 gears or a welded dif. I ran low 13's with the mods i listed in my 96 mk8.

  • id go with th x pipes with electronic cutoffs, so u can run the strip with no mufflers. and drive around sounding like a benz, then if u see a cop, just flip a switch and youre muffled, jegs can hook u up

  • Guys, there a 03 cobra motor converted to a 5L stroker, ported and polished heads, ported and knife edged intake with modified runners. The car has full exhaust on it with X-pipe.

  • no way, borla baby...lol

  • And by the way, a 4.10 isn't the only gear you can put on your car. 3.73's would be a great compromise, so you wouldn't kill your ride and still add acceleration.

  • hey man, there is a HUGE misconception about 4.10's, they don't kill your ride, do a BIT more research...3.73's are fine, but in the MN12's 4.10's are great, even for everyday driving, trust me.

  • that's cool

  • I'd have to say that gives a whole new meaning to "Hotrod Lincoln". :) Nice job!!

  • I wish my mark VII ran like that xD

  • Ton of Fun

  • Where can I learn more about this car?

  • What do you want to know?

  • are you running anything besides the 50 series underneath? Cats or resonators or anything else?

  • Resonators

  • Question, what did you do to your suspension? I wouldn't think the stock air bags would handle that much power.

  • It has stock suspension

  • 2003 mustang cobra cams

    look for used ones

  • I went and got a quote on some Mustang Cobra cams, that's the ones you meant right? Anywayz, they were about $800.

  • You only need the 2003 cobra cams to make power with a blower

most after market cams will kill to much bottom end for a heavy auto like the Mark VIII

    Good luck

  • Where would I find these cams and how much would they cost?

  • They are readily available from Ford or try the Corral net

  • Dude, I'm totally loving what you've done to this car. Next summer I plan to add a performance cam and a supercharger to my Mark VIII. Seeing this video of your bad ass car makes me more anxious!!!

  • Ford owns that car, so i believed?

  • so you need to spend how much moneys just to run high 11's?

  • to run high 11's street driven 4200lb on a radial tire, walking it out to avoid the IRS wheel hop, it takes 600+ HP to go high 11's and the same to go low 9's in a race prepped 2800 lb mustang

  • 4.6 l stroked to a 5.0l DOHC

  • did you really put a 5.0 in there? or is that the 4.6 it came with?

  • Car is for sale

    $18,000 CAD

  • excelent lol ,it is

  • Nice 1/8th mile time. Just kiddin, that car rocks!

  • LMAO....pfFFfft...Sorry did I say that out loud!!

    Good run though:-)

  • Totally..........luv it!!!!

  • Very impressed!!! Even my stock '98 does fairly well with the power-weight ratio!!

  • Dayum i gots work to do lol.

  • Blown stroked 5.0l DOHC Cobra motor,

Steel crank, eagle H-beam rod, CP piston, balanced

Ported DOHC heads, crower stainless valves

Cobra intake, shortened runners, IMRC deletes, 60 lb injectors, 2400 SCT maf

Vortech SQ trim, 2.7 15 PSI pulley

Kooks headers, 2 1/2 stainless exhaust, 50 series flowmasters

Focus SVT pump with KB boostapump

    Alky systems methanol injection.

13 " cobra brakes, slotted & cross drilled rotors

17 x 10.5 ROH rims with Nitto 315-35-17 drag radials

  • man what kind of upgrades is in that thing? i almost bought 1 b4 my town car that looked just like that 1 (bode wise) but i t rememinded my of my moms thunderbird too much but man it looks SOOOO much better on cobras, i had no clue. I want one now.

  • Actually lotsa fun
