  • The first time I went into an American grocery store I was 5 years old and I was like "Where the fuck are the bags of milk?".My mom grabbed a huge, 2L jug of milk and I was like "Holy fack!"

  • StupidO.p...

  • Not only in Canada, I'm from Argentina and here milk also come in bags, but we have cartons as well for long life milk. You can find cream and yoghurt in bags also.

  • OK, but have you compared single horizontal cut to single 45 degree cut? I find horizontal works best.

  • In the US just go to KwikTrip. They have bag milk. :) and benefits. Can store way more at home like in a drawer in the fridge because my family goes thru milk really fast..

  • lol we dont use scissors in the Niagara region we use milk cutters search em up

  • im going to have to take a trip north to get bagged milk...

  • I am not handling what amounts to breast implants just so I can have milk. Leave it to Canadia and the rest of the metric socialist world to make getting a glass of milk insanely stupid. Why don't your governments just give each and every citizen their own cows so that you don't even need bags? Apparently it's too hard for a Canadian to unscrew a milk jug cap and pour it normally. And I am surprised that your government lets you have the scissors needed to open your own milk bags.

  • @SIRinLTHR It also uses a lot less plastic...

  • @SIRinLTHR it uses less plastic genius

  • @SIRinLTHR

they also have cartons and gallons, dumb ignorant american

  • @SIRinLTHR Ummm... obvious troll is obvious?

  • You have a DHARMA glass... FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC!!!

  • I don't know why but bagged milk looks like it would taste different. I know it won't but it looks like it does. Maybe the lighting.

  • i dont get it, why would you put your milk in a bag? why not like a carton or something, in australia we have cartons and plastic bottles, unless your trying to cut down on plastic? :L

  • Lol, awesome. But sorry Corey, I'll stick to the gallon jug, lol. I still love you though Canada!

  • I like the Dharma Initiative glass from Lost! :)

  • Thats an AMAZING Dharma glass. I love it lol. I really want milk now. Im gonna ask my dad next time he goes to Toronto or Ontario to buy me a bag or two of milk. It looks so cool!

  • we here in Alberta (not like the rest of Canaduh) do not have this "mound of plastic" process. We use the jug, then recycle. The bags are used in onterrible where I'm from, from what I can remember our milkman "Smoky" started delivering bags in the very early 70's, it was a new thing then. You can buy the jugs in Mac's Milk stores still. . . . .

  • some Canadians like in British Columbia don't have bagged MILK!!its like in the Ontario area

  • @eyeThinkHot Hmm... You sound like someone on a TV ad. Cartons of milk aren't bulky and they don't contain 'gallons' of milk. You can buy them in one, two or three litre cartons, it depends on how much milk everybody in your household drinks. In my opinion bags of milk aren't better or worse if you compare everything about them, but when you compare their liftime bags of milk are worse (sorry, I didn't state that properly last time).

  • What a strange way to do things... can you tell me why you guys put it in bags?

  • YOU HAVE A DHARMA CUP!!!

  • DHARMA GLASS

  • at my middel school we had min bags of choclet and whit milk (they had a littel mre then a small carton) we would poke a hole in the mini bag with a straw and as long as you didnt take the straw out it wouldnt spill !!! it was easy to drink and because in toronto you can recicle bags it had no waste! The only thing wrong with this is I cant find a place to buy mini milk bags :(

  • Comment removed

  • Bags of milk rule!!!

  • bags of milk are for ppl who drink a lot of milk so the milk is gone before it has the chance to spoil.

There are also cartons of milk and ppl who consume less milk and worry that it might spoil get those so they can reseal it.

bag of milk == more milk, cheaper, made for milk junkies basically.

  • haha, that's so wierd!

    but i luuv it!

  • wouldn't the bags of milk go bad faster than carntens, or plastic containers?

  • Well you don't really need scissors. My family just has a milk cutter magnet that we keep on our fridge, like an envelope opener. Or just use a knife. Mmmm...bags of milk in Canada.

  • @bulletdove haha, a milk cutter?!?! that's freakin hilarious

  • where will technology take us next.. LOL

  • You should never need scissors to get a glass of milk.

  • in Canada you do! (you only have to use them once for one bag, and each bag is about liter.)

  • @w00tipants You should always need scissors to get a glass of milk!

  • You guys are noobs. Just because something is different doesn't means it's better or worse although bags of milk is probably awesome. But not for storage.

  • @madminnycar It's way easier to store 3 bags of milk that are 1.33L each, they are thin and will fit almost anywhere in your fridge. Huge gallons of milk in bulky containers take up so much space!

  • LOL! Nice Dharma Glass. Lost Fan much? =P

  • I have never seen that or heard of that. I want my milk in a bag.

  • haha thats funny...im canadien and i just noticed a few weeks ago that american dont drink from bags lol i was shocked

  • SAME HERE XD

  • Canada Reprezentin

haha i live like 5 min away from cory too :P

  • I want a bag of milk...... but I live in America..... so no milk bags :(

  • Sure there are milk bags in America... look under cow :P

  • i live in lithuania and bags of milk is the main type of containers. I cant believe in america it is unusual

  • Yeah.... jugs and cartons seem to be a lot less hassle. How do you close your "bag of milk" afterward? Do you have to provide something? That's the convenience of jugs and cartons.... they come with easily opening and closing abilities.

  • I'm pretty sure most people have paper clips in their houses lol. Or tape or staples or clothes pins. It's one of those developed things - if we didn't ever have cans we wouldn't have can openers. Because we have cans, we have can openers. Thus, in a household used to bags of milk they, undoubtedly, have every milk closing convenience right at their fingertips.

  • You don't have to close it. It's not like something is going to fall into it. If you don't drink milk fast though, what's the point of buying the big bags anyways??

  • It just doesn't make any sense, it's like canada wants to be exceptional from every other country in the world by being INCONVIENT.

Putting any form drinking fluids in a bag is just awkward. Do they put water in bags? and juices, soda? No. because it's fucking stupid.

I rather just have a carton box with a little clip on it I can pop open and close at any time.

Since SOME of us don't "drink milk fast" but we use it to make certain types of breakfast.

  • Okay, sure cartons may be more convenient, but you don't have to go all "Canada this" and canada that"

Okay, maybe you're just used to cartons but seriously,

  • It's actually much MORE convenient...opening a carton is more difficult than a quick snip, and then just grab it from the fridge and pour...that and it's about half the price of cartons with considerably less waste, and easier to produce. Oh and Canada isn't the only country to have advanced to bags...

  • I started buying the bags because it's annoying to knowingly pay MORE money for about half the amount of milk, haha.

  • we Canadians are amazing

AND THAT'S FREAKING AMAZING, A DARMA CUP! :)

  • i wonder why they do that in cannada but not america... but i think jugs of milk are e-z er lol

just screw off the cap and pour it! lol and you can seal them back on.. lol

  • LOL!! BAGS OF MILK! BAGS OF MILK!!

  • That's so much easier and cleaner than the freakin' cartons or bottles. I want bags of milk.

  • milk bag container thing? isn't that a pitcher??

  • milk in a bag wtf that is f-ing cool i wish i had a milk bag im going to canada just to buy a bag of milk ohh yeah and canadian bacon

  • that is retarted! ok in america milk comes in a plastic container WITH A CAP so it stays fresh longer as well as a flat bottom so that you dont need a freakin cup when you put it in the fridge. GO AMERICA AND OUR MILK!

  • what the hell? dharma initiative cup from LOST???

  • actually, the way I have done it since elementary school is you stick it with a straw, but you have to hold your thumb on the top of the straw or it spills EVERYWHERE!

    ahh...the good old days.

  • how does it stay fresh? do u keep it in that cup thing and then put it in the fridge? lol

  • Dharma cup was the star!

  • the swan cup totally made the video

i lived in ontario for 8 years and never had milk in a bag

    im the lamest canadian eva!!!

  • Lol so I heard Corey is a member of the Dharma Initiative. <3

  • who wuld want a bag of milk? like wtf

  • canadians

  • okay, i think a bag of milk actually seems more portable except for the difficulty of not being able to reseal the bag.

but personally the fact that you have a darma cup made the video for me.

  • @wavegirl145 you can reseal the bag with anything you want, a paperclip, tape, whatever, but there's no point we drink so much milk in Canada it goes very quickly.

  • It reminds me on our milk in Czech rep....but that is long time ago...:-) Thank you for nice memory...

  • Wow Americans dont have bags of milk CANADIANS HAVE BOTH BITCH

  • i want my baggy? BAGS OF MILK THAT IS I LOST IT IN CANADA I WANT TO BE THERE THEY GAVE TWO OF EVERYTHING MAN 2 OFFICIAL LANGUAGES AND TO DIFFERENT CONTAINERS FOR MILK?WTF

  • a dharma glass?! GEEZE I WANT ONE!

  • for ppl who actually care about the environment heres a question are the bags better or worse for the eco system

  • These bags are apparently biodegradable, so I'm guessing that the bags are better for the ecosystem. Take up less space, too.

  • The bags are considerably less waste because they are thin, and supposedly they are also recyclable.

  • OMFG, I want that Dharma Initiative glass!

  • LOL, bags of milk! That's epic. And I love your LOST Dharma glass! Way cool Corey :D

    <3 Leia

  • ive always wanted a bag of milk.

    screw cartons.

  • i was entertained by the "Bag of Milk! Bag of Milk! Bag of Milk! Lalalalala..." part... and then i was confuzzled... still...

    my question is:

    WHY?

  • Hmm. A bag of milk. I see no use for it. But yet it could be seen as an exciting novelty to have in your kitchen XD Me want a bag of milk.

  • LMFAO SOOO FUNNY!

  • I guess environmentally it better than plastic containers. However, I feel the milk container thingy aka milk jug should be a touch taller. That way you don't get spillage from droopy bags hanging over the top.

  • Hmmmm... In eastern european countries and Russia, there is not strange in bags of milk. :D

  • I don't think they sell those here .. :( how lame

  • This is amazing I need some milk from a bag.... I wish they had milk in bags in the

    states.... That's awesome.... =)

  • I'm not sure what the benefits of milk coming in bags would be, besides, maybe saving plastic?

  • LOVE the Dharma glass! I'd rather use parmalat. You can keep it in the closet until you need it.

  • ha thats just way to complicated for us americans..

  • What benefits?

  • That it holds milk.

  • Well duh! It's a bag of milk! Look @ the title! Ugh! Emo ppl r such cpt. obvious'! Being a cpt. obvious isnt funny if ur emo. Duh!

  • Hahaha my God, relax a little. It's called sarcasm; learn it, it's good for you.

You're acting like a teenage girl.

  • cool

  • Milk in a bag, gotta be the worst invention ever. I'm sorry if I seem rude, but I prefer the old way (from the cow). ;-p

  • DHARMA!

  • Wow cool dharma glass :D

  • Never seen milk in bags lol. But it doesnt do the blublublublub, because when the milk comes out, the space doesn't need to replace with air because the plastic is flexible :P So in a bag it's easier to pour.

  • But now your bag is open.. Doesn't it fall over or something?

  • Here in Estonia everyone uses milk bags, even tho we could buy them in cartons aswell.

  • You get so many bonus points for the glass.

  • thats so awful :S bags of milk SUCK ^^ i prefer bottles

  • Is it possible to seal the bag of milk, or really how do you store what is left of the bag of milk after you have opened it but do not wish to finish the whole bag in that sitting?

  • u put it in the fridge :)

  • You put it in the fridge, it won't go bad in there...

  • i am aware that you put it in the fridge but do you not have some way of sealing it so it will last longer? I mean how long does an open bag last?

  • Uhm it lasts until the expiry date? And then some :P

  • i am terribly sorry...but that is a horrible invention, its like a snuggie, from a distance it looks cool but once you find yourself buying it an getting to know the pain in the ass way to use it u begin to ask yourself, "do i really have no life?"

  • @skywtchng don't worry not a lot of Americans can comprehend this 2 second milk opening process. You're not alone.

  • Cool Swan station Glass.

    Bags O Milk Hummm.

Do you ever just pour the bag into the pitcher and pour it from there?

  • Bags of milk are a lot more earth-friendly than plastic jugs that you can't really crush very well. It's an excellent idea.

  • down here in mexico sometimes we use milk bags too

  • i wish we had bags of milk in California

  • we also have bags of milk in Wisconsin. I've never had any though

  • Darma cup!!!!

what if you cut too much? Or don't have the holder thingy?

  • in canada we have a bunch of bags / if u cut to much ill make a mess but if pour very slowly it might work if you dont have the holder thingy then i guess u have to buy one :p repling to stargatelvr11

  • Umm... But wouldn't the milk dribble down the bag while you're pouring?

This bagged milk thing sounds kind of fun, actually. I bet that holder makes a huuge difference. Especially if there are little kids learning the difference between *holding* the bag and *squeezing* the bag. ^^

  • did u know bag's of milk are in India too? but instead of 1 BIG bag with 3 smaller ones .. in India it's just individual small bags ..

and i was VERY fascinated when i visited my grandma in India ...

    <3 D

  • I believe that cartons and jugs are more efficient because they are more likely to be recycled by society than a plastic bag would be.

    Be Respectful

    -Bridget

  • Actually, jugs and cartons are rarely recycled unfortunately, which is one of the reasons bags became so prominent. Even when they are thrown in the garbage, 4 litres of milk bags (3 thin bags) produce far far less waste than the equivalent amount of cartons and jugs.

  • nuh-uh, bags of milk were around in the 70s when no one was thinking about recycling. I don't know the reason bags became popular in Ontario but recycling was definitely not it.

  • Initially it was to replace breakable glass. Increased popularity in the 70s due to the switch to metric system (easier to convert production lines). But in the 80s, too many plastic jugs weren't being returned in usable shape (recycled), so more and more manufacturers began to prefer bags, which use less plastic and preserve milk better than cartons. Same thing is happening in the UK now.

  • omg this is amazing, I'm from england and I never even thought canadians would have something as crazy as bags of friggin milk, I WANT ONE!! xD

  • Bags are cheaper to produce (economically and environmentally) and they also generate less garbage.

  • Wouldn't jugs just be easier?

  • Actually... that makes more sense, now that you've shown it to me. I like the idea that it comes in smaller bags - less chance of it spoiling before you can use it completely. The bags themselves probably take up less space in a landfill, too.

This is going to sound silly, but the only thing that sill bothers me about the milk-in-a-bag video you made previously is that .01% milk, or whatever it was. *shudders*

  • Who the hell invented bags of milk :S

  • Dude that is quite the pimpin cup.

  • Yeah I dunno, it still looks hecka inconvenient XD

And how do you measure it? Like, I'm guessing it wouldn't still be in gallons like it is here, right?

But either way it still seems a lot better than Costco's new milk jugs, anyone know what I'm talkin 'bout? Those things are awful!

  • *snerk* Costco's new milk jugs are... unique, I'll give them that. ^^

  • They're like, designed to spill, I swear XD

  • :( That way, you have to go back and buy more.

  • They're evil I tell ya!

  • Each pack of 3 bags is 4 litres, so 1.33 litres per bag.

  • @SuperLink517 Metric system! Hop on board it's 2010!

  • I think it's awsome! XD

  • Omg you have a Dharma cupe from Lost!!

  • Now if only they had a way to sell the milk where it already comes in that thing with the handle...

.....and cue Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA."

  • i know. We are so lucky! I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!!!

  • There are NO benefits. This is ridiculous. More trouble than it's worth. Why can't you just have cartons?

  • We do. They're twice the price, difficult to produce, more waste, and less convenient. Why is this so complicated? lol.

  • I havn't even watched this full video. I was just watching it when I was going through vids and I had to say something about that awesome Darma Inishitive Cup!! Thats awesome. I want one so bad.

  • I had no idea that Americans didn't use bagged milk.. I have no problem with milk-in-a-bag.

  • While I cant think of a single benefit to having a bag of milk....I can see tons of benefits to having the awesome Dharma Initiative glass. My Kudos, to you.

  • hmmm intresting thats cool (biggest fan still right here

  • england dosent have bags of milk, just bottle n cartons...

  • it looked chunky in the bag,but when you pored it...WOW

    (lol)

  • I wonder if blue milk comes in bags. Hmmmmmm.......

  • I thought it was powder... Wow.. Kind of Unhandy, but you guys R used to it.. :D Good luck with getting the bagd in the cans..

  • lol darma glass

  • What is this milk that everyone keeps talking about?

  • best line already :] "HOW DO U GET THE MILK OUTTA THE BAG AND INTO UR MOUF" XD

  • we have baged milk in south africa and the cartins or bottels whatever you call it

and you just put it in the frige and it dosnt spoil! somtimes we get it delvired like post lol we have a bread and milk box

  • Dharma cup! I want it!!

  • We also have bags of milk in Poland :P

  • just too cool i would like to have bags of milk :D

  • why are you saying Baig?

  • i want that Dharma glass!!!

  • Why so complicated?

    How not spoiled?

  • That seems mildly unpractical ;)

  • I agree

  • but how does the milk keep from spoiling?

canadians must have to drink it all right there, right when they open it.

milk meeds a cap or it will turn to cheese

maybe it's a good thing because i like cheese

  • okay dude you dont need to drink it all

it stays fresh okay just put it into the fridge and it is all GOOD!!! and this is more conservative too we can recycle the bags

  • You can also recycle bottles and such

  • How is milk handled so badly in the US that it turns to cheese without a cap in the fridge? :S

  • i wanna see how you throw a bag at someone like a water balloon :D

  • woah i thought it was powder haha. sweet!

  • wow nice Dharma glass , nice who will be kind enough to mail me some bags milk ....=(

  • whoa thats crazy

i dont like milk but wow.

could you get bags of chocolate milk. if they had that i would get it

  • Yeah in another milk bag vid it shows chocolate milk in bags :)

  • Woah

that is CRAZY kinda cool and I guess to benefit is that..... um.....

your like none of the other countries? Maybe?

    or because it saves space?

  • Hey, here in Argentina the milk also comes in bags o.o. I always thought that was like that everywere, xD.

  • I guess it keeps the milk in smaller packages = less spoiled milk. And less plastic! NO more gallon size milk cartons.

  • That's crazyness!

But then again I am a milk addict yet I am very picky on the milk's taste.
