You're right...Canada's closing ceremonies weren't in top form. They reminded me of something...a neighbour perhaps. Oh THAT'S it...they seemed an awful lot like something our ignorant and -in this case- contradicting American neighbours to the south would have done. Though we took the Canadian approach and toned it down a few degrees. We muted our hard earned victories rather than flaunting it on a daily basis; the American way.

Fox may work and live in the US but hes proud to be Canadian I think its funny how someone from a country who was founded on your country sucks come here "land of opportunity " can say anything. i would also like to point out the Americans r the least liked country in the world because of there arrogance. Last thing almost every joke that was said at the closing ceremony was an inside joke.

(cont) From my vantage point it would be easy for me to point the finger to the west coast but maybe it is a deeper national problem. How many sets of eyes and hands did these plans for the ceremonies pass through and no one was able to recognize how ridiculous it was? This might pass as humor in the local community theater, but not on the world stage. All of the positives that were created in the previous two weeks were destroyed in three hours that night. We should never get another Olympics.

Dude, I'm from Ontario Canada, and I was disgusted by the closing ceremonies as well. I don't know why we as a country feel the need to justify ourselves as a worthy host by bringing out some of our better known celebrities and talking about what makes us special. No one cares and it doesn't matter. The closing ceremonies are supposed to be a world class event and they turned it into a tacky gift shop. It was embarrassing to say the least. (continued)

i loved the closing ceremonies. i thought they poked fun at themselves as much as they gloated. i know what your saying but with the added self deprecation i saw no prob with it.
