  • a lot cheaper than real ice cream too!

  • This is my favorite video because she is with her kids and that is good for a mom.

  • vitamix is fancy...it's expensive...

  • and worth it's weight in gold. this truly has been my number one kitchen investment that has paid itself back over the years!

  • I am definitely going to try this. I hope my little old blender does poop out on me (I'll crush the bananas as much as I can beforehand). But I love that you and your kids are raw! That's awesome!

  • i tried this it was really good! i through a nut mix on top!.almonds pumpkin and sunflower seeds...its was yum, thanks

oh and i added real maple syrup (not considered raw?) not much but just a bit....

  • Lori's monster garage of powerful health.

  • the vitamix is awesome, i dont have one but seem in on shopping channels over here. i cant wait till i get one. better then a regular blender.

  • I have to admit, the Vita mix has been a huge contributor to my health journey. I wish everyone had one!

  • That's really cool how creative the recipes are in raw food but so simple as well,i've got to try that.

  • I have to try this!

  • brilliant idea! I can't wait to try this.

  • that was probably quicker than fishing a tub of ice cream out of your deep freezer and struggling to pull off the frozen down lid!!! I have a much less powerful blender but it still only takes me about 90 seconds to make.

    Thanks for sharing

  • LOL.... totally!

  • Love it!! I have a champion juicer but yours looks thicker...I am trying your version this weekend!

Some raw chocolate or strawberry sauce would be divine over that too... there is great recipe for that in Alissa Cohen book..ok my mouth is watering now!!

  • oh yeah baby! YUM! This summer is gonna be filled with lots of raw banana splits :) I forgot to mention in the video some sauces which we have done before too. YUM! :)

  • Hey, I've been bending bananas for Rodney lately too!. I have to chop mine up first because my blendtec doesn't have a tamper and the belnder heats up too much. I'm out of bananas now. :( I can't wait to get more. We love it!

  • Yeah, the tamper allows you to pump it and kinda whip it too. I remember liking the vita- mix for that reason. Banana ice cream tastes so much like regular ice cream you actually feel like you are eating it. Miss you guys, tell Rodney "hello" :)

  • We miss you too. I heard you had 112 participants at the co-op Saturday. That's a record. :) I could totally go for ice-cream right now. I hope we can get bananas tomorrow. I'm deeeesperate for bannnnnananass!

  • Nice...Yummy 4 you....you looks great....

    and i´m been hungry when i see this vids.....looks tasty.....great work..5*..f m 2 y

    Keep up

  • another awesome video!!! thank you!

after i make this icecream should i eat it immediately or will i be able to save some in the fridge and still have the icecream consistency?

  • I have known people to put it in the freezer for 30 min and then in the fridge the rest of the day and it stayed pretty good. However, it was with cacao powder and i don't know if that made a difference.

  • Which vita mix is that ? Every have problems with it ? Im going to buy the vita mix prep 3 on monday ! $500

  • just the basic one the 5000

  • I have had it since 2002, just replaced a part last month, but it was no biggie and was free. I just LOVE it! The BEST kitchen investment!

  • i did talk to vita mix and they told me there is a part that needs to be changed 1 time a year if you use the blender almost everyday ! i think is the part with the teeth that turns the blades! Im going to get the prep 3,is 3 hps and its about $500,People say wow thats alot, but i tell them i will use it more then my car and who can put a price on good health, thats whats funny about people, they will spend top dollar on there car,but they will buy the cheapest food and put it into there body !

  • could not agree more. :)

i rather eat organic raw and walk everywhere than own a car.

luckily i live in the city and everything is close.

  • I have had mine for over 10 years & use it almost daily...never had to change mine
