  • @Tr1cE people like you make me want to smoke weed OPINION

  • @Tr1cE weed is better than cigarette its more healthier and its like: fuck yeah like this song

  • @Tr1cE You know I hold a Masters degree in Civil Engineering and I smoked pot for most by High School and College Career, so before you say pot makes you stupid look at what part of society did it and look where they are now. Some are Morons, yes, but not all dude.

  • @Tr1cE umm no it dosent... actualy for some people, its quite the opposite. suppose it just depends on if you are stupid to begin with. thc has in a number of studies promoted brain cell growth. ....in your face!

  • @antcuth85 I might believe you if you could form sentences properly ya dummy. There's no proof that it promotes brain cell growth and lots that say it makes you lazy and stupid, why else would it be illegal. FACT.

  • @Tr1cE your belief is based on my grammer? proof is in the results, not the proaganda. i intended on ignoring your response as i knew it would be based on opinion. so please dont put fact at the end of your messages, it enrages me and forces me to respond.

  • great vocals, great song

  • I'm gonna break my rusty Cajun. Run!

  • @residualbill Nice. I should've thought of that.

  • Chris Cornell should sing the National Anthem at the super bowl.

  • muñeco cornetin theme

  • Great song, love Soundgarden...and this comes from a grown woman who's a stay-at-home, conservative mother these days. That just shows how timeless this band is. Love it. :) I've been listening to Soundgarden for two decades now...I feel old.

  • @mrslavallie screw you then

  • Don't you just love when the top comments re actually of any relevance to the video? That'd be real nice, ya know.

  • @Negimaniac this

  • smoking a joint 2011 christmas day, listening to all soundgarden, other than ultramegaok of course :D

  • @d07a that's awesome... (:

  • Motivational music to escape my small town blues.

  • almost 10 years passed since the relase of the track and still rock awesome

  • @mortaljacket It's been way longer than 10 years..

  • this song reminds me of just because by janes addiction. man first time i heard this was off of a burnt cd of all soundgarden that my uncle gave me. man he knew some kick ass songs, gotta say my favorites are rusty cage, slaves and bulldozers, and outshined. all fucking awesome songs to get stoned to.

  • ROAD RASH MOTHERFUCKERS

  • @liveguns Too bad you could only listen during menu screens

  • @liveguns YESSS AMAZING GAME

  • Has anyone ever thought about how original this riff really is though? There's no other song like this.

  • @BigUpsKonviction Indeed.

  • reminds me of road rash for the playstation!

  • break you're fucking rusty cage already :]

  • @WarxZonex Relax, guy. Jesus. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

  • Damn I heard this song on GTA San Andreas and I knew I heard it somewhere else before. Then I remembered I first heard it on a motorcycle game I played on Sega Saturn more than 10 years ago. Really nice and memorable song

  • @handballvid You mean Road Rash? Best game EVER

  • @ realgang44 It was. It was on a video game about motorcycles, and fight as you where racing. That game called Road Rash.

Its a game from the 90's

  • @WarxZonex You really show your IQ with your language. Are you in 7th grade?

  • realgang44 it was it's actually my favorite song to listen to on gta san andreas

  • this song with some weed....time to study for my chemistry test!

    FUCKKKKKK YEA

  • never get's old <3

  • San Andreas

  • I do like this version of the song, Johnny Cash made an excellent cover, but as any artist who makes a cover, they bring themselves into the piece, and Johnny certainly did that with Rusty Cage. I like them both, but if I want the mood of the song from Soundgarden, I may not want the same mood from Johnny Cash's rendition.

  • 20 years later and this song still makes me want to break things!!

  • 18 people are getting thrown in a rusty cage

  • why does johnny cash's crap cover have more views than this? =/

  • @d07a Excuse me? EXCUSE ME?

Both versions rock, just in different ways.

  • @d07a Because he's JOHNNY FUCKING CASH, idiot...

  • @bearmassaro Johnny Cash made awesome songs. But he made shitty fucking covers.

  • @ComaAlpha I'll agree there. But he's still Johnny Fucking Cash. And that's why he could've farted into a microphone & still had more views than the original...

  • @ComaAlpha are u kidding? Hurt was amazing

  • @dkbadass LMAO!!!!! I love Nine Inch Nails, but 'Something I Can Never Have' and 'Hurt' are HOOOORRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIBLE songs. The best I can say for the Cash version of 'Hurt' is at least it doesn't have that really loud and really annoying ending that Trent always uses.

  • @ComaAlpha

I have to agree with you about "Something I Can Never Have." But if you listened to "Hurt" within the context of the Downward Spiral storyline, you'd understand why that loud ending is necessary.

  • @crazymiles Even without that loud annoying ending, the song is still slow and full of a bunch of 'wah' lyrics. Damn near every song off of Pretty Hate Machine all the way to With Teeth are 'crybaby heartbroken' lyrics. The difference between "Something" and "Hurt" and the rest of the songs are that the music rocks and is faster paced.

  • @ComaAlpha Just because a piece of music is slower than another, doesn't mean it rocks less. Hurt, as the whole Downward Spiral album, is a great song. Some of the greatest songs in history are "crybaby heartbroken lyrics".

  • road rash on 3DO ftw yeah boi

  • im gonna breakkk im gonna break myyyy im gonna break my rusty cage and runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • temon

  • I'm listening to this out of respect, and I half-like it, kind of repetitive imo though - you don't have time or changes to get any feelings out of it...

  • How skilled can the bassist and the guitarist be to be able to tune each other to perfection and do the same at the same time?

How skilled can the drummer be to keep that beat such a long time before slowing the tempo down?

Let's not mention Chris Cornell's vocals shall we... because everything has already been said about them. Such pipes, they could blow any speaker on earth.

  • @jevimetal13 all i can say is about the drummer since im one myself you haft to have lots of practice and endurance, also well relaxed.

  • 17 people are in a rusty cage

  • ima break my rusty caaaaaagggggeee, and ruunuunnn!!

  • I'd roam all over San Andreas listening to this.

  • I'm listening to this again just so that I can compare it to the awesome version Johnny Cash did....

  • the dead nobodies

  • that game and its ob longed faced characters

  • 100% pure aggression.

  • i heard this on my sirius radio about 3 weeks ago on my way back home from california, i heard the first riff, and i was like, "OMG THAT WAS THE SONG FROM ROAD RASH!!!! THIS SONG KICKS ASS!!!" i never really listened to soundgarden before, but i think i am going to start listening to them.

  • @thedrewdotcom i heard this song on the radio today, and, while i'd heard the song before and knew it was very well-known, i can honestly say it was my first time.

made slighly less awesome by the dj's talking over the intro riff, though =/.

  • I hate every thing about soundgarden. Johnny Cash took this horrible piece of dung and turned to gold. True genious

  • @bohemianrye Nice trolling, There's no way you're talking seriously.

  • @bohemianrye i have no idea how could someone absolutely hate EVERYTHING about Soundgarden. This band has 4 musicians who are extremely tallented at what they do.

  • This song should probably finish fast, not slow...er, so to speak

  • YES top comment, just yes.

  • STFU, Both versions kick ass in very different ways, the fact that you can't grace Johnny Cash's rendition isn't important. They are on the same level of awesomeness through different paths.

  • @jevimetal13 you got him there. i agree both versions are awesome. but in their own different ways. thats why covers were really big. take nirvana's unplugged album he did. i liked all those better than the originals.

  • ROAD RASH MOTHERFUCKERS!

  • ROAD RASH!!!!

  • smoking a joint 2011

  • @jcadmire Fuck you, ass holes like you who have to post that shit on here are low life peices of shit

    dont ruin good fuckin music

i dont give 2 shits of your smokin

  • @jersmusicrecordings i agree with jcadmire. Quit being a fucking hater! and fuck you harder! i'm a friendly and polite pothead, and it's the real low life pieces of shit that hate on other people for minding there own fuckin business. So, to clarify- you are the low life piece of shit. THERE IS NOTHING IMMORAL WITH MARIJUANA. it's just illegal. and if somebody ruins your song for posting their thoughts. GOOD. just remember, YOU'RE THE HATER, ASSHOLE.

  • @R3f73x Hell yeah man. As a non-weed smoker, I completely agree with you. Nothing wrong with weed. We've all got our vice of choice. You smoke your shit and be happy bro. Fuck the haters.

  • @jcadmire Text it to twitter cause nobody cares :P

  • Chris Cornell and Company absolutely own this song. End of discussion. Nobody can steal the essence of this track, not even Johnny Boy who thought he could fucking pass it off as his own work (I don't care what you think, he fucking tried to pass Rusty Cage off as a modern rendition of his 60's era gritty country-rock) Soundgarden recorded this song with a very distinct energy.

  • @Frostich1 i actually quite like the johnny cash version; probably more than the original.

    both kick ass nonetheless

  • .☮.¸¸.●*(♥♫(♥♪(♥♫d(-_-)b♫♥)♪♥)♫♥)*●.¸¸.☮.

  • 17 people are tasteless

  • Wow, johnny cash is the only person who can turn a grunge song into a awesome country song

  • bass tone <3

  • i know that this is going to be hard to believe for anyone under 20 years old, but music can also be associated with personal experiences, it's only in the last decade that people start to associate a song with a product or brand name.(ex. road rash GTA)

  • If i had a dime for every time i heard this on Road Rash and San Andreas. And enjoyed it each and every time. :3

  • It's there :)

  • i actually didnt not hear this in san andreas or road rash

  • I can't believe it's a Johnny Cash's song

  • @bobbidik Nope Johnny Cash made a cover of it.

    Awesome isn't it?

  • lol i remember i discovered this song myself on Road Rash on ps1

  • road rash on the 3do

  • @Deadpool534 haha i would always steal the chain then swing it wildly when the cops tried to get me and kick the other motorcyclists into incoming traffic. good times =' )

  • @Deadpool534 Oh man I still have that game somewhere! I havent played it more than 10 years but it was so fun! Especially swinging the chain around.

  • This makes me want to break my rusty cage and run.

  • @ninslipknot204 i love both versions equally the same and it kinda is an opinion cause there two different genras ;]

  • gotta love grunge

  • I'm not a fan of Johnny Cash's music, however, Johnny Cash the man was one of the coolest sons of bitches ever to draw breath. All the more so because he did covers of Soundgarden, NIN, and others. It's astounding to me that these people were even on his radar.

  • johnny cash's version is more lovely :)

  • Speeding through Las Venturas on that Infernus just stolen and listening to this... gotta love it!

  • GTA !!!!

  • I don't care what anyone says but Johnny Cash sucks, he ruined this song I think.

  • @Missleanneiscool I agree with the ladder of the two..

  • Comment removed

  • 15 people did not break their rusty cages or ran.

  • This song is awesome. Johnny Cash's version is awesome.

    Now shut the fuck up.

  • GET IT TOGETHER BITCHES!

  • I'm not gonna diss this cos its a cover, I ain't like that. I'm disliking this cos its... bad...

  • @demon4411 bro, this is the original version, and you can dislike but please leave that to yourself. To Each His Own my friend, now please stop posting on videos you don't like and let the ones who like it actually enjoy it

  • @DonosIpod Woah a cover being better than the original... Cash done it again :L Actually if you want to stop me from writing my opinion you can make me? Oh wait... Shut up :L

  • @demon4411 Im sorry that I was just trying to enjoy the music that I like. I'm actually a fan of cash and really I don't care whether or not you like this but please stop being a hater and stick to videos that you actually do like. There is an old saying "If you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all" that is seems you could learn a lot from.

  • @DonosIpod You're a pretty big flamer

  • I'm gonna break the rusty cage of conformity... And RUUUN

  • Comment removed

  • How can people dislike this song? What planet do you come from and are you all devoid of understanding?

  • Its like...the first time I heard this I hated it...

But then I found myself listening it to it a few days later.

And then again later the same day.

    Now I love it.

This song gets in your fuckin bones. Haha.

  • @JudokaJames that's how i felt too. I had trouble trying to understand the beat and I felt odd whenever I listened to it, but then I can't help not listen to it, and then that's when it started to sink in. Soundgarden is evil and possessive.
