  • @metalmachine00 i believe he knows that, it is super hard, and also plucking the tremolo even

  • Good job, its a hard song to play.

  • Next time, u have to play it with a good dress..

  • good

  • Well done great performance. Keep up the good work. CGSNI.

  • Great playing. I am very happy to see helpful advice, so many comments to guitarists are unproductive. I am even more happy to see you taking these comments as they were intended. This piece can define a guitarist. Interesting to see your seating. I hope you wont mind a couple of friendly observations. 1. You mention the noise coming from the inconsistency of the nail on the string. Continued in next post.

  • The nail noise. You know the cause of it. But don't use (time) as the tool to fix. The only way to fix it is to never play it with the noise again. Yes you may have to take the tempo back down, however you are not practicing mistakes. The art of correct practice is paramount. Speed will always come, and although repetition can make a little difference it makes no sense to practice mistakes over and over.

  • 2. Although I enjoyed watching you play holding the guitar that way, remember guitarists have spent hundreds of years trying better the footstool, there are many sucesses but the generally are rooted from the stool method. For example watch closely to how far you i finger reaches for the trem.

  • Senunkan says- "keep your right hand completely still and relaxed and move your fingers the least possible." That is great advice from an undoubtably masterful player!

I offer all of this as humble as I can and again state that you are a great player. If I took this to seriously I apologize. PEACE AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

"Practice does NOT make perfect, it makes permanent."

  • @paulandlesson No offence taken at all and quite contrary, I really appreciate all the advice given. Thanks to all. I have been too lazy to make any new video and unfortunately my digicam just broken down after 7 years of usage. Hope to make more new video soon.

  • Awesome man! Keep up practicing and youll get good as F. Tarrega ;)

  • @ftryew working on it! Thanks for viewing / listening

  • INSISTO TOCAS HERMOSO ¡¡¡

  • @benalkhayyam

    I agree totally with you.

The noise arises because of the inconsistency in the nail attacking the string. Perfecting it will take quite a while for me.

I have timed the 4 notes they are pretty even in terms of the timing, the only thing that needs improvement is the consistency and the tone.

This melody is so haunting any guitarist would have love it I think.

    Thanks for all your advice

  • Thank you for sharing your performance, I enjoyed it a lot!

     ddanze

  • Thanks! It's really my favourite tremolo piece. I really hope to visit the Alhambra Palace one day.

  • Wasn't this piece improvised by Andres Segovia?

  • I know Segovia plays it but not sure if he improvise it or not.

  • this is a peice by fransisco tarrega it is definatly not an improvisation lol!

  • c'est très très bien joué, bravo, très agréable à écouter et sans accroches. Bonne chance pour la suite !

  • Merci. Although I know nothing about French. Thanks.

  • Thanks!

  • Beautiful...

  • Thanks!

  • Nice, i'm practicing this piece too. Some people have no idea what music is about. It transcends all culture and race. Let's hear your "feeling" version sundvisson! For your ignorant views, there are many asian guitarist who are world famous too

  • I really hope to visit the real Alhambra palace one day, maybe then I might be able to capture some of spirit in this song.

    Thanks for your encouragment!

  • maybe you are right.....sorry can be rude sometimes( just trying to see things as they are) but I think chineese are much better then us swedes/european poeploe in many things....such as life style, calmness, hard worker, nice.

as I said....I try to see things as they are, that is because I can take cretic aswell, I dont want someone to lie to me

  • I believe each race in general has their strength and weakness. But more importantly I think it's the individual that makes a difference. As I said, I am far from being good. I will definitely work on my interpretation and feelings. Thanks for being frank.

  • haha, thanks will do so next time :)

  • good job...bot no feeling. as every chineese

  • Thanks. Yes I do agree my skill is far from being good. i will try my best to improve in terms of intepretation and feeling. However. you too can improve yourself by removing those unfriendly view about other races.

  • You can get a lap rest (din't know the exact name) instead of the traditional footstool. I guess the only place in Singapore selling is at Thomas Music located at Basement 1 Roxi square or something. Be sure to get it because in my opinion, you already have the skills but you practised the wrong way. The most basic things are the most important. You need to rectify your siting before you can go further.

  • Actually I do practise using in the traditional classical posture also. But sometimes I am abit lazy to practise in that position. I also quite like Pepe Romero's classical posture: it allows more right hand freedom.

  • Its very good.

Try emphasising certain bits more. This song is a journey, make it feel like one.

Well done anyway, its a difficult tune to get right

  • That's a great insight regarding the interpretation. Thanks for the advice.

  • wooow! Very good! pirki72

  • thanks!

  • Well done, very promising for the future and already a mature musical approach. (tuning of the guitar could be just, and only just, a little bit better)

  • The guitar does have some intonation problem. I will do somethign about in the future. Thanks

  • debes practicar mas chinito te falta todavia

  • Great performance,,you sound so profesional what a beautiful technique for such a young guy,,go ahead to the good future,,you will be there, congratulation,,

  • You need more tremolo practice. The rest is perfect........

    Ciao

  • Thanks. I still lack of the stamina to make my tremolo consistent throughout the entire piece. I will work on that.

  • very nice

    thank you

  • Thanks.

  • I see. Personally i would never do that if i were to be coordinating both left and right hands. Anything that involve the left hand i would surely put the guitar on my left leg. However if i were just practicing my right hand I could use any way i want if u know what i mean. Btw what guitar you using? Are your strings normal tension or hard?

  • The normal classical position sometimes put strains on my back. So I change my positions quite abit. I can adapt easily to any positions.

The standard classical position allows a more free RH and LH but can put some strain to the back due to uneven footing unless some kind of ergo support is used instead of the std footstool.

I am using DAddario EXP 45 normal tension string and guitar is by Ross Gutmeier Fleta copy.

  • Hi. How come you are playing with the guitar on your right leg? To transit to professional i think you should start playing on your left. However you sorta master a very difficult piece. So props to you!

  • Thanks for your advice.

This was sort of informal practice.

I can do left leg or right leg or even traditional flamenco position.

My main concern was the LH and RH coordination practice at the moment.

  • Don't worry at all. Every classical guitarrists gets angry when see someone playing on the right leg. However nowadays many professionals play like you, especially for flamenco (Paco de Lucía, Cañizares, Vicente Amigo...)

And thanks for this nice song by Master Tárrega!

  • Thanks for your kind words and encouragement.

I will try to work on a few more songs to record :)

  • I'm not sure that playing on the right leg have any influence on the quality of the music played. Each person have his own way of playing, and the best one is the most confortable.

  • The tremolo technique, I think it's called, is such a beautiful thing.

  • are you professional player? very nice

  • Hi, I am still an amateur.

    Thanks for your compliment.

I am still far from being good but well I have a lifetime to improve my playing :)

  • Very nice, your future is bright as the sun:D

  • Thanks!

  • Te felicito amigo, excelente!

  • Gracias, amigo.

  • good

  • this is beautiful and technically impressive !

  • Thanks. I think I still got a long way to master the technique though.
