We have no bears in Germany who live free and wild. The last one who tried it came over the alpes two years ago and was shot down. They called him problembear cause he ripped some sheep. What a world!!
I live right up next to the Ocala National Forest and see black bears at certain times of the year. I have a youngster out finding territory and it seems my yard is in his/her new zone. It's OK with me. I hear himher at night especially.
They're pretty common all over the states.. I lived in florida for about 12 years and had never seen one. I live in Washington now and they're everywhere.. Same in Oregon. Not very aggresive either..

Cool! I've lived in the Ocala area for over 30 years and I've never seen a black bear in the wild.
