@scfd524 Simmer down now Octopus-chucker. The hit was May 29th, 1996. You say that was low like I don't remember that hit, or the ensuing years of aftermath. I'm looking forward to the Avs being competitive again, but the shit-talking while your team is on the verge of a serious downgrade (the moment Lidstrom retires) is pretty weak. I like the hard hits, ones that sting people a little but I don't wish anyone to receive "devastating" hits. Not even on the teams I have a dislike for. You're right that we will be hurting when Lidstrom retires. But, just as Nick did when Stevie Y left, someone will step up and do what needs to be done.
