  • Nice, compact radio. I have had one for over four years with no problems, but I do not peak, modify, or otherwise screw my radios up with senseless mods. Get the frequency counter that plugs into the back, unlock the clarifier, and throw a Texas Star DX 350, or better yet, a DX500 in line for a smoking setup. When the skip is rolling I have no problem making contacts from coast to coast and beyond in a mobile setup. AM modulation is loud and on sideband it is clear as a bell.

  • would an echo board fit?

  • nice review.

  • I would like to have some info on how the radio's receiver is, like real world ajacent channel rejection, usable sensitivity, circuit noise in the receiver, receiver noise floor, receiver audio quality, AGC caracteristics (does the receiver "pump" them go dead for a moment with strong signals , and true effectivness of the NB/ANL function.

    thanks !

  • Ok, I have my radio back and I love this radio. I have the newer verion with the mosfett and the blue LED's. Very nice radio.

  • You just describe switches and knobs, which is useless for me. I'd like to see this radio in action, hear the sound, how RFGain and Squelch works, etc....

  • Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to make the review. Nice!

  • Nice, sounds like a good radio
