I have seen and heard a lyrebird on a freinds property , it can mimic my freinds kids laughing, really cool and a little bit scary if you did'nt know what it was, the cool thing is the kids have grown up and yet you can hear them play and laugh often
what ive been really wondering, is that since this bird can imitate such a vast variety of sounds, Does "he" even have his own original voice-call? o.O
@magnusalexa Zoos do valuable work in allowing the general public to access and learn to appreciate animals. Without their work, protection of wild animals would be much harder. They also allow for preservation and breeding of endangered species, and scientific study that doesn't rely on disturbing animals in their natural habitat. If the zoo can turn a profit while they do it, more power to them.
@binturong1000 This birds are known to imitate at least 20 different other birds, and there is a video from Richard Attenborough showing one that imitates a chainsaw and a car alarm. They can copy virtually any sound in their sorroundings.
@binturong1000 Obviously you know nothing about the lyre bird and its astounding talent for imitation. Look them up, watch some videos, read a bit, and learn something about these absolutely AMAZING birds.
@bruhe Just play him the speech from Pulp Fiction over and over, lol. Little kids walking by and the bird says: "7 years he wore this watch up his ass" That would be the best day of my life...
@JSnyder49428 ROFL "He’d be DAMNED if any slope’s gonna’ put his greasy yellow hands on his boy’s birthright. So... he HID it, in one place he knew he could hide something: his ASS. Five long years he wore this watch, UP his ass.”
@skittlepower95 Exactly my words! or.. not exactly, but I'm a Metallica fan, I think that there are waay too many birds that can whistle all kind off mainstream songs... We need some metal birds ! :P
they shoul dput the Lyre bird in the next Police Academy, instead of a human

Chook, you will be dearly missed! We really need to protect the living environment of all animals, even cockroaches which I hate with a passion!
