Looks good. It's amazing how similiar your time lapse footage from Maine looks like mine from Manhattan.

Thanks -- Kinda bummed about getting the power lines in the shot, but hey, whaddaya gonna do?
(BTW -- You should post yours as a video response to mine)
The only real thing I can suggest to you if you're going to use *and* edit HD video, is to get a lot of hard-drive space, Brett.
And yeah, the XH-A1 is a nice camera, it was the first HD camera I used in high school, and it's relatively easy-to-use once you start poking around.

Definitely -- I have a portable harddrive, but even still, space management is an ongoing process, fo' sho'! :-)
It's very cool to actually be able to see the Sun move. (Yes, I know that the Sun doesn't really move.) Nice music, too.

NICE test clip! I'm not sure if my blood is thick enough to tackle an XH-A1. That's a LOT of camera, and I'm still bamboozled by all the bells and whistles on an HG21. The new breed of HD equipment is mind boggling.

Thanks, Moosie! Lotta bells, lotta whistles for sure -- but it seems to do a lot on its own, too, which is a huge help when you're getting started...
This is pretty cool.
