  • Beautiful baby. Mom you did great

  • Omg this made me cry, my baby girl is due soon=)

  • that was so beautiful. i cannot wait to practice what ive learned with HB. i cried watching your video. :) congratulations.

  • Amazing! What I enjoyed the most about this birth is that the baby was slowly and gently eased into life, everyone there respected the rythym and timing of her birth and nothing was forced.

Me and my baby also had a magical and very gentle birth, I used some hypnobirthing tools, such as breathing the baby down instead of forced pushing and it was sure proof that my body was all too capable of doing it on it's own. It was beautiful and amazing!

    Did you tear at all?

  • I love this! It brought tears to my eyes! You did an awesome job! congrats!

  • well done- great birth and brilliant advice from dad with "j breathing" prompts. baby proved she could clear her own lungs as well. midwife did very well, but maybe should have left the cord for longer, as it seemed a bit soon for it to have stopped pulsating- also a shame she didn't leave the vernix on baby's skin, as it's good to let it soak in over a few days. but maybe you didn't want a "cream cheese" baby! hahah

  • amazing birth !! i'm 38,5 weeks and have been practicing hypnobirthing method as well. I hope I will get to use it !

  • Im 28 weeks pregnant with my first child. I was looking at videos on youtube and came across this video. I am really going to look into hypnobirthing method at the Brooklyn birth center. Thanks for your video. LoveRunsDeep221, Avesha783, and masvqwn when you guys have your babies can you put up a post about your experiences and advices that you may have. Thank you.

  • That was amazing to watch. We are expecting our first daugter in a few weeks and are also practicing hypnobirthing and in the tub. Thank you so much for sharing. I am so excited. Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl!

  • Thank you for sharing. Isn't it wonderful? It never gets old!

  • Aww bless you all... A beautiful birth and you did a great job! I'm over half way through my pregnancy now and planning to use hypnobirthing to bring my babies (twins) into the world. You're an inspiration x

  • For anyone considering unmedicated birth: DO IT!!!! It is the most wonderful first gift you can give to your baby. A gentle, calm, quiet birth is how every child deserves to be brought into this world. YOU CAN DO IT! Women are meant to give birth, its what our bodies do best!

  • You did beautifully! Well done!

  • Beautiful birth. I was recently in labor for 24.5 hours all back labor and no meds or epi. We women are strong!

  • You are a TROOPER!:-) I was in labor for 29 hrs so I understand! totally UN-medicated!

  • That was absolutely beautiful! Strong mama you are..blessings to your sweet little girl!

  • Thank you! :-)

  • Thank you! This was amazing!

  • Me and my OH are planning to have our baby at The BBC in October. :)

I'd like a water birth as well.

  • There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with her birth! Babies are surrounded by water for 9 months she is PERFECT and we wanted a GENTLE birth and that is EXACTLY what we got. Babies know how to get all of the fluid, etc out of their own lungs and while I was being attended to she spit up anything that went in her mouth. We weren't concerned about anything b/c the birth went as planned. You should look up Hypnobirthing and know what its about before passing judgement.

  • Hospitals have a way of taking NATURE out of the birthing process, and over dramatizing the necessity to perform a slew of invasive procedures. The parents were not concerned because there was no need to be. As long as the umbilical cord is attached, baby can breathe fine until she expels the fluid on her own. There's a bit of time before the cord stops pulsing and the placenta is expelled. At a hospital, they cut the cord immediately, thus facilitating the need to suction immediately.

  • And as far as the time the baby took to exit the area, most likely the woman wasn't pushing her out forcefully but instead letting her body guide her through the process, so baby took a little longer. I'm sure the slower birth was less traumatic on Mom.

  • Thank you so much for sharing. I'm also planning on having a hypnobirth at the BBC. How did you find your experience there?

  • I loved it there! I would use them again, if we don't do it at home

  • beautiful birth but the midwife is so rough!

  • I loved this...I truly hope that my birthing experience can be calm and peaceful like yours.
