Superman is exactly what a person should be when they are in power. He doesn't exert his will over weaker people, he doesn't kill even though if he did there's no one to really challenge him on his actions. He protects the innocent and holds himself to a higher moral standard than the people he saves. Batman is the symbol that is used to frightened criminals, Superman is the symbol to make people better themselves, because he does even if he doesn't have to. I'm still more of batman fan though

I agree with you man. I like Superman and Batman too. I think they're both great. I do agree about Batman being a dick and not a nice person to get along, but he and Superman are great characters and nobody should not debate which superhero is better.

Batman is cranky because he doesn't want people to get close. So it's a case of the jerk facade. So really he's covering that he's really afraid of people getting close. He's already seen his parents killed before his eyes, Robin (Jason Todd) was killed by the Joker, and Babs was paralayzed by the Joker.

Superman himself is a dark character, and batman and robin all stars is an else world story. But Batman trapped time right now and he's getting out. But they are both good characters as they are but I do like Batman better.

I don't know if it is still in continuity, but SUperman executed three Phantom Zone criminals in the 1980's. It f-ed him up so much that he exiled himself for a year.

Good story. And gives the "No Kill" rule some teeth. It shows it came out of bitter experience, not editiorial fiat.

one thing I don't like is how mega fans deny Batman has used a gun before Final Crisis. Since the Silver Age, Batman has used a gun at least 3 times. Once in Year two, Once in Cosmic Odyssey and then once in Final Crisis.

I can't say what it is like to have never known your parents or world, but I do know what it is like to watch your parent or parents die with your own two eyes and that certainly has an effect on almost any being.

But, Clark Kent was very fortunate to have lost what he did, but to gain what he did. Bruce was just an heir to the thrown, one he would have traded at the time for his mom and dad to be back.

I wouldn't say Lex is everything thats wrong with humanity and Supes is what we should strive to be. Lex is more of everything that humanity is, just with a greater passion to carry it out (being the perfect choice for an Orange Lantern) while Supes is who they look to for hope when being pushed to become like Lex.

I would disregard that article as a call for attention.

They tend to hold themeselves as a standard. and if they start taking the law in to their hands that far, then they become a problem to the law rather than reinforcement of it. He is the only villain that's pushed him the hardest, and I do believe why he never finished him off is because he has that felling of responsibility for him. No, you misunderstand. I wasn't referring to their tactics, I was referring to their mentalities. Batman, despite seeing his own parents gunned down in cold blood, right before his very eyes, and other countless horrors form guys like The Joker, continues to rely on the justice system no matter how much bullshit it's wrapped up in. Punisher, on the other hand, sees the justice system for how broken it really is, and the world and it's evils for what they really are as well.
