@haizahaiza The Blazer had AT's on it. The stuck XJ just pulled another truck from the same spot. The XJ broke thru the crust and it that point - it didn't matter what you were. This area is a very swampy place and it had not completely froze yet.
@searsbrothers hey man am from canada i own 2 rigs... many people i know are going over theri next summer....they all have seriuous rigs lifted and locked on both... me i have 2 rigs 1 a 90 cherokee stuck on mudrover my other a 99 dodge ram 2500 tsl-3 inch lift 4.10 gears and locked in the rear end..
i was wondering how this trail is actually good for stuck vehicule or no.. should i only bring my jeep or my truck or both with the jeep on my trailer.any bad exp. with the jeep?
We have trails for all skills levels and rigs (from stock to wild). I just have my XJ and go many places - but there are many that I can't get to. We have some nasty deep places you can try to go (Tank Trap, etc) and get as stuck as you want to. Join up on Jeepskool - and look at the pics that folks have posted this month - you will get an idea of what we have to offer. We broke Rick Pewe's Super Duty (Petersen's Offroad Mag) - that will give you an idea of how tough stuff can get here.
What's stopping you? Location? We have had visitors from all over the US and Canada enjoy the park. Maybe you can make it part of your vacation next year.
I live in Virginia so its not too far away and I think I really will make it part of my vacation next year because our usual offroading place is now owned by a different landowner and he won't let us 4 wheel anymore so I'll definitely look into making it next year.
I would keep the XJ and dump some money into it. You'll be ahead financially. Unless of course you are NOT going to take it off road then get a 4dr Rubi with the lifetime warranty before Chrysler ends it (soon). I have seen both in action and when built right, they both are quite capable vehicles. Only thing is you have to pay $35k to get into a 4dr Rubi, and only $3-5k to get into a nice used XJ. I enjoy NOT having payments on my XJ and that leaves money to upgrade it.
thanks man, been doing some thinking and ya might get a 4.5 inch lift for the xj and start building it up... it's allready got battle wounds and gonna get more in time lol
lol at the stuck train, we have done that before. Once we had 4 out of 5 stuck in a pit with nothing but sapling trees around that wouldnt hold for winching. The only jeep not stuck had no winch. After about 3 hours of digging and cussing, one of the guys kids comes back from playing in the nearby woods and the 7 year old suggests that we get the 5th jeep stuck intentially on high ground and use it for a winch point. Sometimes kids see the obvious a little better.
good group of people

multiple rigs stuck looks like great fun!

I guess it is a tire problem, maybe too high air pressure or wrong tread.

The wonderful thing about our Jeepskool - we have a bull dozer on standby just incase. Of course, the stuck guys have to pay for the diesel.
