  • Great solo!

  • You play great, technically perfect. But......it sounds like a million other Stevie copies. Do you want to develop an original sound that keeps within a Texas blues tradition? Then ask yourself who did Stevie copy? Answer: Albert Collins, Albert King, Jimi, Freddy King etc. To advance dig into the pure sources and find new interpretations. Use your IMAGINATION.

  • @clarkewi

where are your videos? stfu then

  • @randomtwit You actually are a random twit. This guy was offering constructive criticism, something that if you are ANY good, will have considered and accepted at some point in your playing. If all he did was slag him off I'd be with you, but he's offering input to make the video poster better. So learn the difference between being a jackass, and being a teacher.

  • @clarkewi Yea Clarky... Shud-up-a-you-face! Awesome playing Louweell!

  • @travismiller77 Yes its an awesome copy. Listen to Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters oh and a guy named Hendrix - the guy Stevie Ray was copying. I guess you've got to start somewhere but try and go beyond the surface mimicing like a parrot..

  • @clarkewi You've got it all wrong man. There are TONS of us players out there that don't strive to "create" musically. The fun for us is playing some of the thousands of riffs, licks, and songs that we love. Louweell didn'd say "check out my original style" He's simply laying down a jam... take it or leave it. Just because we are not all Hendrix's doesn't mean we aren't having a blast belting out the tunes or styles of some very gifted musicians.

  • @travismiller77 Yeah, millions of clones like polywogs. But the idea is to study the craft - where did these licks come from? There's a history behind it. Players need to know where it came from. They owe it to these old greats who never achieved the fame that Jimi or Stevie Ray did. That is how we honour them. They provided the foundation that these players built on. Including the clone on this videotape. I'm not saying he isn't technically flawless, but he lacks originality and inventiveness.

  • @clarkewi Maybe your idea is to study the craft. Not mine. If he lacks originality and inventiveness, i guess that makes him just like you and me :)

  • @travismiller77 Don't get me wrong, this guitarist plays a kick ass Texas style. What I am talking about gets into an issue of respect for the roots (which also frees a musician from catagories).. In the art world its called "Mannerism" that follows the "Baroque" (which is the catagory Jimi and Stevie fall into). Don't get me wrong, there are many great examples of "Mannerist" art and these led into other periods ie. impressionism, expressionism etc. But baroque is the highest after classical.

  • What is the song You are playing ? is that ur own solo ?

  • Nice playin man!!! Sounds really good!! Check my blues solo out bro if u wouldn't mine!!! Keep jammin!!! :)

  • WE. WANT. TABS.

  • @PeteHndrx omg im so sick of people asking for tabs on every damn video. did it ever occur to you that maybe its better to just play what you feel rather than try to study what someone else does note for note? and do you really think someone this good is going to right down tabs? no, he just plays. you can hear him and see the area hes playing in, figure it out. if you still need tabs, you prob cant play this anyway.

  • @GLK2780

I know, I'm just lazy and I don't have alot of time. I will figure it out and play something like this if I got the time : ) .

  • @PeteHndrx Dude, he's just playing E minor pentatonic...

  • @shredstudent10

    Yes?... What's your point?

  • @PeteHndrx Then why would you want tabs? Just improv if you know the scale....it's not hard..

  • @PeteHndrx It is not that difficult to figure out what he is playing. Whether you can play it this well is a different matter...

  • Love that fender........i want it right now please.

  • thats it... i quit!!

  • It seems to me more a Chicago Style than a Texas Style...

  • HOLY SHIT!!!! I love me some mean and melodic lightning fast blues with double stops and such. Nice work!

  • Very good, liked it alot.

  • That the Ritchie Sambora strat? Awful putting humbuckers and Floyd rose on a strat but nice playing.

  • @insomniac5150 - I have a Strat, and I replaced the bridge pickup with a Seymor Duncan double HB unit, the thing is a screamer when I put a slide to it, which is the way God intended it to be.

  • @mystinger72 i just saw an old picture of Gary Moore with a humbuckered strat too so that's ok then. Can't argue with the master.

  • Really, great! Good job. :)

Please check out my instrumental song on my channel, recorded in studio! Thanks!:)

  • texas specials?

  • Freaking nice guitar!!

  • you really fucked that beautiful stratocaster with the floyd rose

  • @umurcan96 Agreed, but I think Fender did the butchering.

  • amazing! could I beg you for tabs? ... tnx

  • @ephoratus just learn the blues scales and you'll be able to play some fine blues just as this, blues aint about nailing tones, it's about the feeling

  • @MrBadAssBoy123 lol you'll need to nail most of them though

  • great

  • nice playing man

  • this is one of my favorite blues solos on youtube

  • Very good. :D

I love the stars as your fret markers.

  • Thats like a mix between Billy Gibons and Joe Perry with a little Stevie Ray thrown in for some added flavor! NICE!!

  • SRV style ;) nice job

  • good solo bad technique

  • @max123kvalera lol that makes no sense. can't have a good solo with bad technique.

  • I love this solo, it's so freakin' catchy and i don't like country that much

  • @debbieluvsibanez It's blues, not country.

  • @rach6st My bad, you're right. Sometimes I can't tell the difference.

  • good solo :D

  • Solid job ol boy! Keep rockin

  • hey lou can you tab that sucker out for me or do another one slowed right down note for note?

  • Pretty damn sweet dude. It's incredible how something that is as simple as the Pentatonic scale can make for endless soloing possibilities.

  • May I ask for how long you play guitar? This was absolutly amazing.

  • wow

  • N ice but. make a longer one next time\

  • where did you get that backing track from?

  • @MetallicaFan1108 read the description

  • I just came across a probably spam site that are using your video, a website called 50blues, just to let you see it. scroll down to middle section. I just hope there are some law enforcement against spammers to use other people's video to make money.

  • Yes sir

  • Excellent, really good playin buddy!

  • whats the name of the backing track so i can look it up from the website

  • Really good style man 5 stars !!

  • Shouldn't this be called "Rockabilly", instead of blues.

  • @JPStergar Nope. This is the standard blues progression.

  • Stellar [;

  • nice strat man. nice playing too

  • Real nice guitar *.* Beautiful!

  • Hey, Great playing man!!

I´m looking for a richie sambora signature..! i wanted to ask you where to find it..

    Thanks, Jorge

  • wat guitar is that? if its a really obvious one dont lambast me, im lookin into my first electric, barely no any about electrics atm

  • @Drizzydid Well... The name of the guitar is in the title. But it's ok, more people should start playing some music. That guitar is a Fender Stratocaster. They are great guitars, used by such masters as Eric Clapton, John Mayer, David Gilmour and many more. Pretty nice guitar.

  • @PlayerOfInstruments OOo, thanks. I do play piano and acoustic guitar already, it wont be my first instrument. Im looking to get like a 500-700 dollar electric, so after some research this guitar is too much for me to afford (the american one at least, would rather get the real than the not so real mexican one). So i think i will look into a godin progression since it has the same shape and is a modern guitar that seems to be good. Also looking at the godin sd 22 as well, they r in my range.

  • Excellent Texas blues ! 10 stars !

  • Amazing how you can basically stay around the 12th fret and yet play like every riff is new! Your flowing creative style is really unique and hard to learn(if possible). Style like this your born with!! Awesome!! Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"

  • good guitar playing.. very-very blues..

  • Awesome guitar, and great playing. Love those inlays...

  • omg sick guitar^^ i have the cheaper version of yours xD

  • Love the stars :P

  • tasty ^^

  • are you tuned down a 1/2 step btw what string gauges did you use

  • great stuff

  • stratocasters do not look good with a floyd rose

  • @renegadepoptard Why do you say that? Look pretty damn good I think...

  • that is playing!!! mad stuff

  • nice style, nice sound, nicee strat, nice playing -> nice blues

  • great playing strats rule ;)

  • Excellent playing, brotha!

  • where did you get that backing track?

  • goooooooooooooooood! :O

  • Comment removed

  • That's good soloing. Nice.

  • Nice playing sir

  • why only the neck pickup ?? always the &^&^%$ neck -pickup ? it aint "ballsy man !

  • @gittar1 I play on my middle pickup more then the bridge. I noticed when I got into tube amps that the middle pickup had more punch. Other then that I used to always play the bridge pickup on solid states.

  • i like, nice

  • Ahahhahahah he also plays on fender Richie Sambora signature so he copies Sambora

  • Considering it's labelled as a TEXAS style solo...do you not think it's unsurprising it has SRV influences?

  • nice fretboard !! :D

  • NICE

  • PLZZZZ TEACH ME!!!!!

  • Awesome!!!!
