attack! attack!! wow! what a fuckin'tune great memories of 79' ,you can hear the genesis sound he brought to the band in the 70's pre and then there were three. awesome!!
This is a kick-ass song from Steve (from '79), very heavy in one particular spot....some of you will notice that the end of the drum solo--some would say it is identical to the "Los Endos" drum solo from Genesis from '76. Apparently, Phil did not have a big problem with that, in my opinion.
@GordonYYZ I love Kansas and am a Steve Hackett follower since long before you were born but what do u mean "Alot of people hate Kansas"? Kansas is an awesome group that will soon be in the Rock Hall just as Steve is with Genesis. Rush is another perfect example.
Thanks for sharing the great music. Am a big Hackett,Webster,Rush,& Wine fan. Would appreciate it if you could do the rest of the songs from Mutiny Up My Sleeve & A Million Vacations albums by Max. Also Hackett's 70's albums, & more from April Wine's The Whole World's Going Crazy. Thanks again & please keep the songs coming.
I once had this on a 7" vinyl single, then I bought ALL his albums and still love this track after more than 30 years!!

Come on, Kansas had a few good tracks. "Song for America" is a pretty bad-ass song.

The first 5 albums had more than a few gems. Every single song on Leftoverture is a gem.
