  • I give my sheep a cuddle you can comment on 117 0498

  • she is a good girl that sheep

  • in my country we eat that bitch!

  • If you hold the sheep correctly throughout the procedure, the animal isn’t stressed at all. There are always one or two who kick or struggle, but that’s just sheep being sheep. To the general public the whole procedure looks stressful and cruel for the animal but it's not and it’s a whole lot better than wearing a thick coat throughout the summer months. A beginner will always struggle at first and the sheep will appear more in control. It’s a bit like handling youngsters; be firm but fair :)

  • are sheep given some kind of tranquillizer before this procedure?I guess it is a huge stress for them?

  • @wannaknowit no need bro. if you have your feet in the right place and your relaxed as a shearer then the sheep will sit like a baby!

  • @Herrick91

    I am a sis,not a bro,I am afraid:-DDDD

Thinking about this procedure,it must be a relief for the sheep to get rid of the huge hair/wool(??)(I do not know if it is the right expression,as English is not my mothertongue-correct me, pls)so it must not be as awful as I first thought it is:-DD Anyway, appreciation for the response!!!

  • the demo in this video is much calmer than one i saw quite a while back.

  • sheep are clever not stupid

  • The first 10,000 are the worst. After that they fight less and shear easier ;)
