  • The abdomen is a bit graphic !

  • The hinge of the crucifix is the mystery of the assemblage point...Watch my vid and see

  • I do not like crucifixes as it portrays a defeated Christ. He is no longer on that cross, He has risen from the grave and defeated death. Yes we are to remember His sacrifice, but, we are to live in His resurrected life.

I wear a simple wooden cross around my neck, or better put, a " tav ". Which is the last letter of the Ancient Hebrew alphabet(oldest script) the means: covenant, to seal, sign, cross.

Don't let the world fool you into thinking it is of pagan origin.

  • a crucifx is a pagan simbol therefore is evil ,So much ignorance among christians

  • @SuperAlexrios you are evil because you are mocking the crucifix. it is not pagan.

  • Dumb movie, how can it NOT start with the Egyptian ANKH that gave origin to the christian element of torture that thousands upon thousands of brainwashed people adore today?

  • I Believe many years in this Cross but I am not religious!

  • Take The Crucifix Challenge! Carry the Cross with Christ! See my latest video.

  • First, tell me what you mean by restorationist. I'm suspicious.

  • I started a collection of crucifixes when i was 6 years old. I have a collection of 20 crosses at this point in time.

  • CULT, it's never too late to leave.

  • and to this day it remains a symbol of hate, tyranny and sexual abuse.

  • No it doesn't, it remains the symbol of self-sacrificing love for the sins of mankind John 3:16)...That the enemies of Christ and His Church managed to infiltrate, betray trust of innocence and cast doubt does not disprove the claims of Christ nor His Church from and among the faithful...More atrocious incidents may follow, but do not believe that the Church at large condones or accepts the grievous injury done to Christ's most precious.

  • Try looking at the Crucifix and contemplating what it means. That is, unless you couldn't care less, in which case, you are just making a general nuisance of yourself, which is more likely the case.

  • It amazes me how the Catholic church COMPLETELY dismisses that part in the Bible about not making graven images. It's right at the top of the Ten Commandments, even.

  • @ocmozfan : yet why did the israelites make images in the temple God commanded them to have floral structures in the temple, also moses crafted the bronze snake that healed people. Yet, it was only when they started worshiping it as God, that moses destroyed it. Statues for religious purposes are not condemned by God. Statues as God or that take away from God are vain and evil.

  • Like the staff with a serpent on it that Moses raised (also compared to Jesus in John 3:14)? Or do you perhaps mean like the statues of angels on the Ark of the Covenant?

Clearly it's about idols, and not about any "graven images".

  • @paxcoder nay no idols, idols are things, objects, or even people who are worshiped or place in as extreme importance. just because you have a statue does not declare your creed or what you idolise

  • "You shall have no other gods before me. YOU SHALL NOT MAKE FOR YOURSELF A GRAVEN IMAGE, OR ANY LIKENESS OF ANYTHING IN HEAVEN ABOVE..."

This verse to me sounds pretty direct me. But I see people sitting at statues praying all the time. Statues of saints. Statues of Jesus. Statues of Mary. I just find it utterly fascintating, really.

  • You are making more of it than it is. People pray to God in front of a statue. It's all about ambvience, atmosphere, reminders, and assistance with imagination, required for deep, meditative prayer. You just don't have the same level of prayer, apparently. You don't realize it is the uplifting of the mind and heart to God. This requires deep, reflective thought.

  • @ocmozfan In the directions for the building of the ark God gave Moses there were instructions for two cherubim. The early Christians drew on the catocomb walls images of Jesus the Good Shepherd and of Mary. The Church is the teacher that recomends images to us and she does not err as she was given her teaching role from her Founder Jesus. Blessings - Rene

  • @ocmozfan: Yet, there is evidence that outside the temple the israelites had statues of pomegranetes.. Why would they make an image that was considered graven?

  • @ocmozfan the top of the Ten Commandments is, "I am the Lord your God: You shall not have strange Gods before me." no where has the Ten Commandments stated to not have or make graven images. again there NEVER was.

  • @ocmozfan

That's true. I don't mind symbols as long as you're not worshipping the objects themselves but I think in some churches people do worship images.

  • You think? What evidence would there be for that? Or are you just making an assumption?

  • Please, what church? and what people?Today in the good USA and many other countries people "worship" lots of idols:Example: Money, Fame, Prestige, Big Homes, Jobs, Friends,Sex, ECT...I can go on and on.

  • @ocmozfan,

That bible passage is in reference to unknown gods or to known man made gods.

The crucifix is a known reminder of our Savior. The crucifix itself is not worshiped as if it was a god, that would be idolatry.

Don't let your eyes deceive you by judging the Catholics wrongly.

Idolatry is anything that you worship or adore as a god. We are surrounded by graven images in our lives, just make sure you don't worship them like if it was God himself, okay?

  • what a tremendous reminder of what our Lord has done for us..great video

  • Very good.
