Look at Rod in this video..it's 1973...his outsized ego has caused him to strut around on stage like a peacock and ruin the song with an audience sing along. Now go and watch the Faces perform the same song in 1971 on the BBC ...it's on Youtube....and he is far more understated. That's why the band broke up....Rod's ego.
This is such a good performance sound wise; almost exactly like the record, I wouldn't be surprised if the main part wasn't lyp-synched. You can see and in some of the lyrics that Rod misses some of the (small) phrases. I wonder...............
The meanest, most rocking fucking rock and roll song ever made by anybody! If anybody ever asks me what the greatest rock song ever is this is the one I tell them!
I always said in the back of my mind..what if-the Rolling Stones took Ronnie, AND Rod? Good Lord, the possibilities would be endless..what do you think people??And this is a Bitchin' song!! THANKS FOR POSTING!!!!!
Wood had a real purpose when he played with Rod. Think of it: A Nod's As Good As a Wink just about matches Sticky Fingers, Every Picture is the equal of Exile, and Ooh La La sure beats Goat's Head. But after Lane left, his Slim Chance was making better records than either Rod or the Stones at the time. Woodie does do some fierce slide on Bigger Bang,.
Actually I love all the stones album I dont seem to think tht those albums were bad actually I love some girls, and I love everything after. So yeah I thought they were all good.
It was 50/50 guitar play unitl Some Girls tour but I can't hear Wood after that. It was when Richards' ego thing started growing. Wood is my favorite guitar player and a song writer. Play it loud Ronnie.
What scene of wedding crashers does this song play in??

Sounds great but it's just a low-fi remix of the record. Other than the video and poor sound quality it doesn't sound live to me.

@gdash4... Believe it or not, Mick Jagger does alot of the slide on "A Bigger Bang," especially on "Back Of My Hand."

Believe it to be 73, most of my Faces clips are from the same gig, the Legendary Roundhouse, in London. Where they say Glam & Punk were born...jack
