None of this organizations will bring the troops back home due to really important problems that must be solved first. It sucks, but that's the way things have been and will be in life.

Agreed.  Women's Rights in Afghanistan are incredibly important. But our presence there is not helping. Bombs cannot liberate the women of Afghanistan. In fact, bombardments, rape, and suicides among women have increased under our presence.

Well, yes, bombardments certainly have increased since we invaded because they are now in a war zone. Re: rapes and suicides perhaps I should have said increased despite our presence, not because of our presence. She has faith that Afghans can and will fight for a democratic and liberated country.

Afghans do not take kindly to foreign occupations. We want to keep both our troops safe and secure human rights for Afghans. They need jobs, development, a government that enforces punishment for corruption, a justice system, education. Instead, we end up killing innocent civilians that only increases extremism and harms our troops.

As an MP in the Afghan government, Malalai Joya has said, "We are fighting two enemies [the Taliban and the foreign troops]. Leave. It is much easier to fight one enemy." Joya has faith in the democratic movements in Afghanistan, but our drones and bombardments (especially outside Kabul) are killing innocent civilians and becoming a recruiting tool for the Taliban. We are not making things safer for Americans or Afghans with our presence there.

Yes, we have protested outside recruitment offices in Berkeley and elsewhere. Many recruiters are intentionally misleading about the benefits, positions, deployments, etc. of military service. We want to educate young people about what joining the military means and alternatives.
