@TheArkan6 i beg to differ. i have this laptop and i have no problem running bf3 at a steady 45 fps and it has proven to be an able platform for gaming while still remaining usefull in other areas
Lenovo....it's IBM! Perfect laptop... Don't think again and again... I tried Acer, Dell, Toshiba I tried almost all laptop... The perfect that I bought recently is the z570 i7 quad core , 2 gb nvidia , 750hd, 15.5. Led screen, it will beat Alienware if adjust the ram from 6 to 8 mb......buy it!!!!
Pls help! I have the same laptop, the different is my ram, i have 8gb and the processor is lower, an i3 2330 and same gt555m. Im playing on full low and i have 20-25fps...why? Anybody knows it? I dont think the processor is so importatn...i saw the notebookchek test and there was no difference between i3 and i7...who has idea? I love this game but i have no enough fps to play... :(
Could you try a native res (is it 1080p?) and everything to LOW, AA off and overgrowth/undergrowth to 0 and tell me what kind of frames you're getting! Thanx a bunch!
Btw, how did you check your CPU load when playing? I was using ThrottleStop to monitor, and i saw my CPU temps spike from 50 when idle, to 70-90 during gameplay. My GPU was around 70-90 i believe.
which drained it to 50% battery. Anyways, I restarted the computer, and reset it to best battery life ( the lenovo energy management settings weren't saving after turning the computer off), turned on throttlestop, and it worked O_O. SMOOTH FPS on bc2 and gta4.. it even worked without throttlestop!! the energy management settings actually saved when i restarted my computer again. i don't know what to make of this lol..
@markozutic361 I've been pretty happy with this pc. Have played BC2 for hours on end, runs fine. I keep it on a desk and no heat pad thing. Runs great.
I had already selected that option previously. I fixed it somehow.. last night, I installed throttlestop ( i thought it was a CPU/power problem). I set the energy management settings to balanced and best battery life (i also edited the power plan on windows and on the lenovo software to make it high performance for battery + plugged in), and when i played the game, it stuttered for 5 minutes and my computer crashed. It had been crashing during gameplay whenever I set it to best battery life
@manoman12354 In terms of power supply it's always on. What I've done is gone into the nVidia Control Panel, under 3D Settings click Manage 3D settings, selected the game from the drop down, and then selected "High Performance nVidia Processor." Hope that helps.
this laptop is TERRIBLE DO NOT BUY it runs games like shit its worthless

@manoman12354 Have you moved that little knob thing on the front right of the PC? It should have the light on.

@almondjoy112 yeah, it was the first thing i ever did.. i think some of the Y570's have CPU problems with the power management

my lenovo y570 - same speciications, except i have 8gb ram - has stuttering problems on gta 4 even on the lowest settings
i updated all my graphics drivers, have latest directx, enabled gpu instead of integrated graphics in optimus, and i still have issues.
but when i remove the power supply and use battery, it runs smooth. when i attach the power supply again it becomes choppy..
what are ur energy management settings??
