  • Lmao!!!

  • i love spongebob too! :DDD

  • omg !! that "e" is soooooo cute <3

  • Freddie Mercury couldnt sing for sheet in his very early 20s

  • OMG!!! love his eyes!!!!

  • Spongebob is awesome! :D

  • he looks like one of those hype squirrels in the animation!! lol

  • when i do the 'ehhhh' to search for my vocal range

My voice breaks twice.....is this normal?

    Ehhhh*breaks/cracks*ehhhhhhhhhhhh*really breaks*

  • in all these online free vocal lessons they talk much and gives information less!!!!!!

  • @tst648 because that's how marketing works, if they gave out all the information then nobody would pay for their product

  • what's up with the new ugly black youtube player ?

  • You had me at Spongebob. This is a really cool exercise. I did it right along with you and I already noticed some changes. :]

  • When you change the pitch or your vocal range the vocal chord become smaller and vibrate faster but the muscles around it do not contract-they expand. When he starts to sing in falsetto in the video his throat compresses as the note is higher and expands as it gets lower. Watch videos of healthy singers(especially opera singers)and you will see the space around expands to superhuman size as the pitch goes higher or the singer switches to falsetto/head voice.

  • This is your free vocal tip for the week *stare*

  • random coincidence Chris, but you kinda look like a character in the series OZ, who's name btw was also Chris Keller

  • why sometimes my head voice breaks (literally) into a ugly distorted VOCAL FRY?

i am worried about that beacuse it took so much time to learn all this!

  • Press 7 repeatedly....HAHA

  • wow, this is a great tip. thanks, chris!

  • The larynx should be kept at the lowest point during all every vocal, even through the presagio (always best developed through a descending scale). That is why the vowel should be obnubilated as the scale rises, even to a lesser degree during 'commercial' singing. I personally have trained a voice out of nodules, whereas surgery has been prescribed by focusing on ****secret*****

  • wow i love to watch spongbob funny show and you are a great singer and i love your songs

  • Lol... at 1:30 you can hear someone doing a mum mum mum in the background... a girl maybe...

  • 1:50 <3<3<3<3<3<3

  • chris is the best

  • great tutorial but you're eyes are kinda creepy.

  • that cool i always wanted to sing so bad because you have cool singing voice that awesome

  • Im not talkin shit, but wow this would be funny stoned.

  • i feel like he should do impressions, he sounded just like hank hill. Dammit, Bobby.

  • ahahaha

  • ur cute

  • So, I saw this a week ago, and started working it into my warmups... This & the fry are helping me SO damn much. I'm staying connected through my rough spot.

    Thank you for these tips!

  • gay!

  • sounds like falsetto.

  • Are you sure this is not low falsetto voice?

  • @JackLloyd17 falsetto doesnt have that kind of chord closure

  • I so want to sleep with chris. he's so freakin cute.

  • thanks for this tips, finally I've got my head voice today~~ :)

  • Omg i ROFLED, its a good lesson but when he went "MEEEEEEEE MU MU MU" i friggn burst out lmao.

Man alot of singing lessons sound ridiculous but have great benifits

    Good lesson lol!

  • mixed voice is killing me, i cant seem to find it, i can sing in the highest head voice but when i go down, theres no way for me to mix it with my chest voice, the only thing i can do to connect it with chest is going falsetto :S

  • So, if I work with this exercise I will develope my mixed voice?

  • hurray for patric :D !!

  • why do all of these failure pop singers who dont know anything about music think that head voice is the same as falsetto?? they are NOT the same thing. Also, this is really bad advice, if youre doing something with your voice thats uncomfortable or hurts, it means you could be damaging your voice, it doesnt mean you should work it out like an athlete, definitely doesnt work that way.

  • This helped amazingly. It's so much easier to connect in that voice.

  • HOLY SHIT YES! this solved my head voice issue!

  • chris keller and yuneshik are right its all about using the right muscles i used to sing very low because i was using the wrong ones but after the home training course from singing success and the tips on this channel i have gotten awesomely high with it i want to take lessons with chris or jesse that would be sweet

  • YuneShik YOU CLEARLY HAVE NEVER HEARD MY BROTHER ATTEMPT TO SING! he sounds like a zombie on valium, a completely tone deaf one at that. my mother can't sing either, nor can any of my friends. i like to sing but i don't have proper breath training or vocal strength to really belt anything out, however i have been told i have a great voice and can carry a tune, when i want to. i aspire to be a singer/songwriter in the music industry someday... gonna wait to record til my voice goes thru puberty.

  • Can you take your mix as low as low head voice or can you take it lower?

  • "bobby what are you doing" lol that was so funny thanks this helps

  • This tip is awesome and it works almost instantly, thank you so much Chris.

  • totally true!

  • crazy shit here

  • Really? You LOVE watching Sponge Bob. Wow.

  • Hello, I have a question.

someone who does not sing, can get to sing well?.

    please tell me

  • Anyone can learn to sing. It's all about finding your voice (your style, etc). Lots of good singers are just "natural singers," meaning they were born naturally with the talent and voice. But that doesn't mean you can't learn to sing. Every voice is unique and every voice belongs to a vocal style.

As long as you practice hard and learn to master your vocals, anyone can learn to sing very well.

  • thank you very much ! :D

  • np :) some people (even professionals) think that you have to have the voice to sing well but that isn't true. Even Brett Manning says that anyone can learn to sing well.

  • @YuneShik but of course... u see how saying that is beneficial to him (brett), right?

  • @YuneShik Just to add a little to your insightful comment. I completely agree, and there's even some "natural singers" who damage their voices very early because they haven't had the need of much vocal training, and sometimes they do things they shouldn't just because they can. I think in some cases you learn to appreciate things better when you struggle to get them.

  • @YuneShik awwww thanks so much for that comment you just encoruge me, i want to be a singer but sometimes my voice sounds funny, but i write good songs that know will be some number one hits......

  • @brownsugababe88 Yep, singing is a lot about techniques, like learning to play an instrument. There are better ways to sing, and a bad way to sing. People you know as horrible singers just don't use the proper techniques and skills. (Some use their nose to sing and therefore sound very nasally and bad, some people cannot sing in tune because they do not practice singing in tune such as scales, etc). Natural singers are those who just found perfect techniques for their voice by accident.

  • @brownsugababe88 And I wish you luck with that dream :) The most difficult part is finding the style for your voice and mastering it, but it is also the most important part.

  • @YuneShik NICE :))

  • @YuneShik What are bass singers good at singing?

  • @YuneShik No they're not born with talent, they have better control of their diaphgram and that's all.

  • thanks for this!!

  • Interesting idea. :-)

  • thanks ! and for some reason i thought of the bathtub scene in lady gagas music video for Bad Romance ..

  • thanks!

  • THANK YOU. I've been dealing with this issue for a while now! Great exercise!

  • OMG awesome.

  • WOW nice tip :D thnx :D

  • nice nice, this makes sence, i like ur sponge bob expressions too :)

  • I'm a believer, thanks Chris.

  • thank's! by the way spongebob is a lot of fun, like him too!

  • nice, thanx
